Nice mugs, Curious. Good location to keep them from getting knocked over.

I like to collect coffee mugs, but I gave up on that years ago because my husband is so clumsy. Most of my collection got lost in his work van - and the rest are either chipped or missing their handles. He knows now the few I have left are "hands off."

Years ago I went to Great America with some friends and our kids. While my son was riding the Shock Wave, I contemplated buying a Shock Wave coffee mug. My friend laughed at me for taking so long to make a decision. She finally convinced me my husband would be careful and not break the mug.

That night I unpacked our things and set the mug on the counter, to be washed and placed on the shelf. My husband came home a few minutes later with a bag of groceries, placed them on the counter, and accidentally knocked the coffee mug onto the floor. It shattered into pieces.

Naturally, I had to phone my friend and tell her what happened. She laughed and said "Don't blame ME - you should have followed your instincts - it's not MY fault your husband is a klutz!"

Oh well, my broken mug collection has grown on me - it's like no other.

ty kathy. i had a lot more than this, but sold them before we moved.

lol..up high is the best place here. not much room and i know they would get knocked over.

grandmonkey and i are working on the top of another cabinet. i have blown glass snowmen. i used to do a tree just for them and candy.

i had a mug for years that looked like it was made squished. something about the shape...i dropped it a million times and it never broke.
