Default What's on your plate......

I had an interesting conversation with Barbo about aging and taking inventory of your life...it's like mopping up after your self..trying to get clean after a lifetime of dropping/spilling/making messes and now trying to find a place for everything. I think we all have "stuff".

I had lunch with my neighbor yesterday, gave her the CD and explained that she should go gently with it. I found her less angry at her husband and that enabled me to see him in a new light. They, together, attended their first sos support meeting and will never go back...reinforced my opinion of that moderator!! (awful woman!!)

I need to write my Pastor today and thank her for all the support she's given me this past year. I also need to call the widow of our friend and invite her to lunch...when I said to her recently, "let's have lunch" she said, "do you know how often I hear that?"

I also need to get to the post office and mail something to lil monkey...
And I need to finish painting the bookcase...

What's on your plate........??

Have to go to work then this evening Scott is in a talent show HIs choir had their spring concert last night and it was amazing... I'm so impressed by the talent these teenagers have. Mom is having foot surgery today and she gets very nauseated from the anesthesia. My brother is taking her and will stay with her until i get done with Scotts talent show. I'm sure i'll end up staying the night with her. I"m looking at a pretty busy day for sure... Hope you guys have a good one....

Hi

I feel I belong on this board, amongst many others, because I tried to suicide when I was 15 and the second time when I was 46.

Today I got plenty on my plate. Too much. I'm overwhelmed. I've been depressed because of it. For a long time. Not doing anything about anything. Then the thought entered my mind that I am only hopelessly staring at the Shoulds in my life, not even realizing maybe there are also Wants and Likes. So I got me a paper notebook that I write down in where and how I would like to live in 10 years time (today I am 50) and what I would like to do just once before I die. That way I will not need to wait until a TV-show-host gets a bright idea and picks me as well.

Conclusion: I downloaded a programme that is free, it is called Project Engine, which is for sale but also got a free type thing, and break my actions into tiny bits that I need to do for the Shoulds and Wants and Likes. So, I am only allowed to do a tiny action for Should after I done a tiny action for Want or Like (always done it the other way round). There is another programme, also free, that is called the Tree of Life, where you get to fill in what you do today and what you should do to have a fulfilling life. But not in a way that makes you feel like a teach is hitting you accross the fingers for writing left-handed. It seems really, really good to me, but I'm not ready for it. I am in the Project-Engine state, because I am autistic and the social bit in the Tree of Life is too demanding for me.

Just a tip-off for anyone who is interested.

Hi minymo - glad to meet you
Today's a roughy for me but I'll keep pedaling on.
And I'll keep painting. Our high priced painter never did show up. He keeps phoning - big deal - but he never comes. So I bought wall paint and started - BIG deal.
Please I could use some prayers for today and this weekend.

for everyone

What's on my plate???

Nothing really... not much to do... no plans for today... I could do a load of laundry... we'll see if my get up and go decides to get up and go.

I'm sitting here listening to music videos, reading here at NT and needing to check out another site that I visit and read. (not a message board)

It looks like it's a pretty day outside... no rain and supposed to be in the 60's. I may go out on to the deck for a bit.

Tomorrow I will go pick up my food I ordered from Angel Food Ministries. If any of you are looking for a way or needing to stretch your food dollar you may want to check out their site... http://www.angelfoodministries.com/ to see if there is a participating agency or church near you.

On Sunday I will be going back to the little church that sits way out in the country. This will be my 4th visit there.... I know that doesn't sound like much to many but to me it is HUGE.

I wish everyone a wonderful day!!

Abbie

Wow…I have to hit the dishes this morning before they start to grow!! I also have this wonderful white flooring in my kitchen and…well just let me leave it at…I need to mop!

This afternoon I get to go and see my spine surgeon, its been a little over one week since my injection. He wants to see how I’m doing so we might know more about that I will probably need another surgery…

Tonight is a good night, anyway I hope…the Utah Jazz playing the Lakers on home court…they had better win this one!!

Oh, before I forget, wish I could, I get to run interference between my Mom and my brother who a week ago just walked into our home unannounced from Oregon and said he was staying for a few months or until he dies…he has lung cancer and sorry, still smokes like a chimney. He stirred up things over last weekend to the point that my Mom…who lives with us was yelling at me for not taking care of him….wait a minute…take care of my Olhipie, my Mom and maybe have a few seconds left in the day for myself…well to shorten the story…he is staying with his daughter and visits Mom daily in the morning and does not look at me…or talk to me…I think he is scared of me….

Oh, Abasaki reminded me that I need to do a few loads of wash...thanks

Oh, sorry I started to vent….oh wells….hugs to all you really busy peoples…

Oh Tammy...what can I say. You have much too much on your plate dear lady.

Abbie that really is huge. I'm so glad for you.
Goofy you are such a blessing in your loved ones lives.
And wren...don't you be forgetting that I love you.

minymo..welcome!!
I'm certainly glad that you failed in your suicide attempts and that you had some good times between 15 and 46. I'm sorry you are overwhelmed and depressed...do you want to talk about it?

I got my hair cut, finished painting the bookcase in the den, went to see my sister and now I'm going outside in the sunshine!

Hugs for the room.

OMG did she say 18 six year olds??? And you're still able to talk?

I wonder if AV8girl is feeling any less tired... I thought of her when I moved a piece of Pam's cactus and it stuck me through my tough gloves.....sure hope it blooms for me this year.

I hope Barbo will get her butt over here and introduce herself to you all.
