Neat!!! I live in New Hampshire, the east coast, north east...the only state above us is Maine. So we can go the ocean too, but it is a good drive, about an hour, but we like a particular beach in Maine, several really, so that is a bit longer an hour and a half, but so worth trip

Is that the Atlantic Ocean? You can see my best subject definitely isn't geography!

We have the Indian Ocean on the west, and the Pacific is on the east coast.

but the lake, not that is a short walk from my house.... I love that lake. We are linked. If I had to choose, it would be the lake over the ocean.
Plus no sharks!!! eeeeek ~~~~~^~~~~~~

I must admit lakes are beautiful. We have lovely ones all through our midlands (high mountainous country), but I've grown up with the ocean and I just love the sound of the surf rolling in at night! That sounds makes a natural lullaby for going off to sleep.

Gosh! You are having a busy one tonight.

I hope the sugars come down quickly, and that your niece will be just fine. My DH is an asthmatic as well, so i sympathise with you there. He's been OK lately except when there was a bush fire a while back and then it was smoke in the air that set him off.

Mostly he does well though.

LOL every night is busy with my niece, she has had type 1 diabetes since she was 6, she just turned 10..... but she is what they call brittle. She can go extremely low very quickly without warning. And her highs when sick are over 600

My nephew is pretty lucky too, his allergies do effect his asthma, but can mostly be controlled with benadryl so far....whew! yes I can see where the smoke would set your Dh off!!! yikes

long story short..... my sister (twin) is a victim of long term abuse, domestic violence is the kind word for it.... she had enough when he started verbally abusing the kids, it took that for her to leave.

She has no place to go.. she lost the house in the divorce... so they moved in with me!! She feels they are a burnden but my niece set her straight on that, she told her mom she was my most favorite person in the world! and I always loved having her with me. Of course she is right!!!

I LOVE having them here, it was just hard to convince her I would. LOL
We have a huge 5 bedroom ranch, with just lynn and I here... since he has been sick, it has been rather lonesome. I love all the activity!!
