I'm doin okay. A little stressed.

She did walk 4 steps today which was good. She can't use a walker because of her arm in a cast. And the pelvis fracture apparently causes her a lot of pain.

I do think she's determined to get out of there which had me a bit worried at first.

Don't know if I mentioned we rustled up a television for her room so that helps.

Thank you.

Is there any place where she can do water therapy?

We had a pool at the old club. Many members used it after breaks or hip or knee replacements.

Not where she is ((Curious)), that I know of. The clinic has a great place for therapy but at this point, I don't know if they'd take her there on a daily basis and even how she would get in the pool. I have no clue. I'll ask someone about it because water would be an excellent source of therapy. Thanks.

Heart

Even those big whirlpool type of tubs might help. Increase circulation and she could atleast move her legs.

Maybe after she gets to go home.

keeping your mom and you in my prayers Doody

I so agree on the water therapy, plus also maybe epsom salts footbaths as she cant soak in a tub of it. wonderful for muscles, joints and more. even the footbaths seem to help my back & neck when I cant have a whole body soak.

also soaking washcloths in warm epsom salts solution and laying that over achy areas helps a lot

I wish I could offer some kind of wonderful suggestions, but, alas, I have none, so I will simply wish you all the best of luck and I know things will turn out right.

Oh thank you so much, I appreciate it.

I told my mom about all of your well wishes and she was surprised and very humbled and asked me to tell you all thank you.

It's very slow going. Yesterday she did manage 5 steps, rested, and then 5 more so that was good.

I'm going to have my dad ask her doctor about a script for water therapy once she is able to do that.

Hey Dood! Just want you to know that I'm still checking this thread and keeping up w/your Mom's progress and you, too. I am keeping you all in my prayers, as I know how hard this situation is for you.

Take care of Doody, too!
