I live in Eastern Nebraska. Usually we have warm Octobers...usually we have hot summers.
This summer, I think fall came in late July, and winter is here. Now! It's snowing outside! Windy, blowing snow flurries. Brrr!!! We didnt even get our furnace safety checked yet, and the gas fireplaces arent turned on. It's still pretty warm in the house tho. (heat is set to come on if it gets to 65 in the house...it's 73 inside right now...) I guess we're not going to be able to harvest my mom's bell peppers...(they're outside freezing to death right now) It never got warm enough this summer for them to do much growing. I guess the squirrels can have them if they're edible (they've eaten everything else we planted, except for the jalapenos)
