Grin Meanwhile, Back at the Post Office...

As most of you know, I had to retire from my job as Postmaster in December. There is a display case in the "new" post office, which I've enjoyed filling up with stuff for the past 15 years since we moved in.

The current officer-in-charge, who worked for me for 15 years, asked me if I'd be willing to continue to do the displays. Holy cow! I answered, "You mean you'd LET me???"

Today I met her over there after the window closed, and I put together a display featuring the "Early TV Memories" sheet of stamps (she did the step stool stuff, don't worry). Thought I'd share a couple of pics. It was quite a lot of work getting it ready, but I enjoyed it!

Glad you were asked to help set it up. I bet that felt good.

That is so neat!! Looks like a lot of work. My kids always enjoyed the book "Cleo". I did a special voice for him, and the kids would ask me to read it over and over again...
so glad you were allowed to use your creativity!!

Really nifty! It is so nice to walk into a Post Office and find some
nice touches like this!

You did a great job!

It's beautiful, B2Y! You did a great job. I can see why they'd want you to continue the tradition.

Great job. Also great that they are continuing to acknowledge your past accomplishments there.

So glad you got to do that. Didn't it make you feel so good to be involved in this way.

I know I get to go over to school on occasion and 'help' the new person who replaced me,who is my good friend. It helps me to miss it just a little bit less.

I know you were probably exhausted, but mentally it's a real pick me up.
