Default Is anyone dressing up for Halloween? What will you be?

My DH and I will be heading out to a costume party after the trick or treaters dwindle down tonight. We are dressing up as "Laverne Defazio and Squiggy"....of course in their "bowling" outfits with the Shotz Brewery logo on our backs!

I can defiantly tell that I am getting older though.....I have not come across anyone under the age of 30 who even knows who the heck Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney is, much less Lenny Kosnowski & Squiggy(Andrew Squiggman!)! I think they look at the giant "L" on my shirt and wonder "what the @#$%?" and then...when I start singing and dancing the Schemeel, schlemazel song, they really think I've lost it! He he!

Now everybody start singing along with me now!

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Schemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated.
We're gonna do it!

Give us any chance, we'll take it.
Read us any rule, we'll break it.
We're gonna make our dreams come true.
Doin' it our way.

Nothin's gonna turn us back now,
Straight ahead and on the track now.
We're gonna make our dreams come true,
Doin' it our way.

There is nothing we won't try,
Never heard the word impossible.
This time there's no stopping us.
We're gonna do it.

On your mark, get set, and go now,
Got a dream and we just know now,
We're gonna make that dream come true.
And we'll do it our way, yes our way.
Make all our dreams come true,
And do it our way, yes our way,
Make all our dreams come true
For me and you.

If you are dressing up this year....please share what you will be going out as, and if you are not, please share your favorite costume from when you were a kid!

Have fun tonight! I'm dressed up as me tonight. Hand sanitizer by my side as each trick or treater leaves. I'm also handing the candy out this year rather than let them pick.

BTW, I remember! LOL

I'm dressed in my workout clothes until someone comes to relieve me so I can go shower and get ready to go out to eat, lol.

I'm also handing out the candy Sandy, why get all those H1N1 germs mixed into the bowl?

its my 22nd wedding anny tonight. We went out for a nice dinner, and had a good time.

I remember on our wedding day a small trick or treater dressed as a fairy said ...wide eyed ..."are you a REAL bride?!" she simply dripped with love for the thought of it. I leaned down, gathering my dress, and held her lil hand and said I was! someday she may be too. I gave her a flower from my bouquet and tucked it into her dress. She almost swooned. her daddy was so thankful. I will always remember her. Crap, that means she is like 25 or 26 now. Maybe a bride of her own.

Have fun tonight Amy! Dejibo I loved your story, it made me go Awww.
I remember the Halloween I was pregnant with my DS(now 24) and went to a party as Mother Nature. I wore a big nightgown and I tied little stuffed animals onto the ties, put a crown of flowers on my head and walked around telling people"It's not nice to fool Mother Nature" lol. Well I guess desperate times called for desperate measures

I didn't dress up this year (took my niece out ~ she was a dead cheerleader, of all things ). The last two years I was the corpse bride and the Old Age Fairy. The best I saw today was a young couple in beekeepers outfits with their toddler dressed as a bee..

No reason to dress up this year but I did put my M17A2 gas mask with hood by the front door. I look like a giant insect with it on. Unfortunately, we don't get trick-or-treaters any more.

We used to get them until about 3 or 4 years ago. Now, the pickings are much better in other places. We live in an acreage community thing - 1 house per 2-3 acres, so it's a long walk between houses. The kids go to the 8000 sq ft lots areas now.
