Default Where The Heck?

Is everybody. Are you all over-stuffed and rolling from sofa to bathroom and back again, or what?

I hope you all survived and are just in the usual MS stupor.

I had a quiet TG day....all alone and loving it. I had ribs and cream cheese stuffed soft pretzels...no punky pie.

Some long lost relatives called to say howdy. I'm glad they were thinking about me, but glad I wasn't there...LOL

I hope you all had a nice TG day with your Families, or alone, like me....I was there with you...did you see me?

I lived! I went to my sis's. It's nice to have somebody else cooking and doing all the work.

My nephew brought along two unexpected guests - two young guys who are heading out to Afghanistan next week. Gosh they looked so young. And here I was feeling bad for dh, alone for Tday. I can't imagine these kids out there in the dunes on Christmas.

Brain, that's depressing to think about those young men being so far away from their families.

I keep thinking about my poor sis-in-law. She's been in the hospital for most of 3 weeks and all she had for Tgiving was chicken broth and Jello!

She gave herself a colon cleanse and it was toxic to her. Apparently the worm-seed oil in it ate away at her insides and she could have died!

But yeah, Sal, this place has been so quiet the past few days! Glad you had a nice Tday all by yer little self. Like Brain we went elsewhere (youngest dtr) and her DH did most of the cooking. Twas a very nice day!

Well, until DD, who is a nurse for Hospice, got a phone call that took her away. A patient died on Thanksgiving.

Yikes Twink! I hope your SIL recovers fully from that. How awful. What in the world is worm seed anyway?

*raising hand* I'm here Salpal!!! Better late than nevah, eh???

We had a quiet T'giving, too; w/just DH, DS and me. It was eerily nice, since I'm used to big family gatherings. Just too many germs out there for DS to be around, so we got to enjoy ALL of the leftovers. Bwah haha

That's really awful about your SIL, Twink.... scary stuff!

*shoves dm aside*

Hi, Sal, I had a really crappy day on TG, after my usual quart of coffee, I could not hold my eyes open and ended up sleeping from 10:15am until 5:00pm. Thankfully, my sissy and the boys whipped up a fine dinner and had it ready to go when I finally ambled out.

Yesterday was better but I stayed in slow-mow and bought myself a really nice present online.

So, now that you know all of this profoundly exciting news, aren't you glad you asked?

Oh, well, it's probably not too exciting to most people, but it's high-powered spotting scope. I have no real use for it because I can't hunt anymore, do not need it, just plain want it. So, I saved up enough points to get it quite cheaply (relatively speaking) and did the deed.

Since I can't get out in the woods anymore, I have to bring the woods to me and this optics thing is my way of doing it. My old scope is not of the same quality and power, this one will do the job neatly for me. I'm excited for it, but I'm sure no one will turn green with envy.

I had never heard of it, either! If you really want to know: http://www.essentialoils.co.za/essen...s/wormseed.htm

Nappy, my SIL would definitely be green with envy!

Oh, is she a birder or a hunter? I love looking at large game, water fowl, critters & deer. I especially get a kick out of looking at details on hummingbirds, they're quite remarkable.
