Default My kid is too smart for her own good sometimes

I got a call from her teacher last night. They were talking about sea anemones and how they sting and kill their prey. Then they were talking about how it is bad to kill animals.

And DD who is 5... tells her teacher it is not nice to lie and it is not bad to kill animals.

She then reminds her teacher that the school served cheeseburgers for lunch and "cheeseburgers are good...and do you know where cheeseburgers come from Mrs. V? They come from dead cows! You can't eat a cow when it is alive! "

"And I like chicken too! and you can't eat chicken unless you cook it, and you can't cook it if it is alive!" So, no it is not bad to kill animals!

Which of course changed the lesson of the day to it is bad to kill animals for the fun of it.

Kids!

My bro in grade school struggled with geography. His teacher asked, if he was going to someplace, forget where, how would he get there? My bro said "I'd take a bus!"

Good for your daughter!!! And isn't it nice to get a call from the teacher and know that she will re-word her statement now? Bravo!
