Default I'm so proud of myself

There are currently two handicapped parking spaces near the building I work in. I usually take one and the doctor I work with takes the other. Recently, a new employee and a patient have been taking the spaces early in the morning leaving no space for me or Dr. S.

Day before yesterday I called and asked if two more spaces could be marked as handicapped. I was told there was a parking committee who would have to review the request. They do not meet until later this month.

Since I work for the government and know how many committees get involved in things I decided I would have to wait forever to hear anything. Wrong! I got in today and had a message that my request had been reviewed and approved and the spaces would be marked as soon as the signs were ready.

I can't believe I got something positive done with one phone call. I can't wait to tell Dr. S. He will be thrilled.
