Default I bought a Tempur Pedic Bed---yippee

I went to the car auction today as I reported I was going to do with my new scooter. What a great time. I plan to return Wednesday.

So, among the hundreds of venders selling everything from jewlery to replica's of the presidents resolute desk there was "The Mattress Firm" mattress store. They were selling many different styles including the sleep number and my favorite, the Tempur Pedic memory foam mattress.

So, while I tested it out, and remembered how many of my MS friends have them and swear by them, we got to talking about $$. They retail for $2,600.00. They sell the same material pillows for $100.00. At the show they had 8 models on display. They showed me two of them had sold signs on them and I could buy their newest model The Tempur Pedic Cloud" Floor model from the show for 49% off the retail. I said "Throw in the pillow for free and we have a deal. SO... using their 2 years Zero Interest I am paying $1,499.00 total, including a free pillow, free mattress cover and free delux set up and moving the current bed to the guest room.

I get it delivered the day after the auction ends , next Tuesday. I have the pillow tonight.

I am so happy, I have been looking at these for years and my current bed is 10 years old. To get such a deal, and zero interest, I am hooked.

SO, does anyone else here have a tempur pedic bed? I would love to hear your opinions.

I was really interested in them until someone told me that they are really hot to sleep in. But, I've never tried them out so it could be just a personal preference.

We don't have a tempurpedic bed but one just like it. It's a foam bed we bought at Sleep City (can't remember the name of it - international foam sounds familiar). We paid $1600 for a king but they didn't throw the pillow in for free. We bought the pillow but my DH doesn't like it so my 11 year old has it - and she loves it. She gets a kick out of how much it cost and the fact that she ended up with it.

We love the bed and it's helped my husband's back tremendously. It does get hot so many times I end up sleeping without the covers and never use the heated mattress cover or I roast. I also find at times it takes more of an effort to roll over after sleeping in the same spot for too long.

Enjoy your new bed!! And your new free pillow too!

DH and I have a tempurpedic mattress.

The bed is so easy to make now that I don't have to struggle to get fitted sheets over a poufy mattress and we haven't ever had to turn this mattress as we did the others.

DH got the tempurpedic pillow and it weighs a ton and there is a method to changing the pillow slipcover. You gather all the material in a bunch and slowly and methodically keep feeding it on.

I got a generic tempurpedic pillow and like it much better.

We do love our mattress (5 years old) but if the room is chilly it feels too firm and if the room is too warm the mattress feels too warm at least to me; DH doesn't notice any change. I use flannel sheets for winter and jersey for summer.

I dont have temperpedic, as I heard they retain a bit of heat, but I have heard rumors they addressed that issue. I have a sleep number bed that is amazing!

Getting a good nights sleep is so important! GL with the bed. Let us know how it works out.

We don't have one but Jim's PT is sold on them. We do have the SAT mattress system that is similar. The only difference is we have air under the memory foam mattress that can be adjusted to one's liking. We paid a mint for them since we bought two twins and the adjustable bed system. I highly reccomend the adustable system in your future. It helps Jim's back because sometimes it aches from his ms and I gain huge benefits from my acid reflux.

I also bought a cheaper verson. Cost about 1200.00 for a queen size bed. You got a great deal! It does take a bit of effort to roll over, and can be rather hot.

I turn many times a night and it's an effort. That is one reason I do not have one. The other being that it's hot. But, everyone is different and what works, works.

Thanks for your replies. I am really looking forward to this bed. I slept on the pillow last night and for the first time in MONTHS I slept well, all the way until 4am. Normally I get up at 2 or 3.

The bed being hot is not going to be a problem as I sleep with a couple of fans on with my AZ AC at 78 in the summer. Better sleep is well worth my bargain.
