This is the color of my Corian that I chose for my desk. The color name is Maui.

My cabinets are an off white color. (my camera flash didnt go off for that picture, so it may look kind of dark, cant find a picture that used flash, must be on my other computer)

It does look a bit kitchen-ish for a desk. Not sure I would use these colors if I ever did a kitchen remodel, but for my bedroom, this looks a lot better than it did before we remodeled.

I'd love to get my mom's kitchen remodeled, but my parents are happy with it as it is now. House is only 8yrs old, so my dad is going to leave the kitchen alone for awhile longer.

Erin,

Your new area is very nice and it should be easier for you to keep your things uncluttered.

You should see it right now. I still dont have anything in the cabinets (I need a stepladder to get into the upper parts of the cabinets)...but, I have some books in the bookcase along with my Tivo and cable box, and the desktop is covered in junk and half empty bottles of Coke, and about 5 crochet/knitting projects.

I need to clean it off so that I can find my computer keyboards.

I'm going to declutter it tomorrow so that I can put my sewing machine on the desk and do some simple sewing stuff.

This morning, I realized I had to LOOK to see what color my appliances were! I forgot!

20 years and I can't remember. Sheesh I really am tired.

For those with black appliances (especially shiny black like mine), I have found that Lysol Antibacterial 4 in 1 Kitchen Cleaner does a most excellent job of cleaning and shining in one step. It cleans the crud and grease and doesn't streak. No need to follow up with another cleaner. I love the stuff. My oven is black glass and this stuff works better than when I used to clean it with window cleaner.

I may have to get stainless if magnets don't stick LOL! I hate the magnet clutter, but as long as they will stick, DH will keep using them!
