I bought a can of mixed nuts yesterday and was sitting here snacking on them. There are a lot of peanuts in there. So I looked at the can and it says 50% peanuts. I then pondered . . . Has anyone ever really sat down and counted to assure the can only has 50% peanuts? Most people wouldn't and if they did, would you say they have way too much time on their hands?!?!

*counting 51, 52, 53, . . .*

Put the inactivated catnip down, Kelly. No, we all don't sit and count our peanuts. But we should all sit down and count our blessings. Now pick the catnip back up and ponder that one. LOL

Does catnip calm cats down or make them more excited?

Makes them more excited. My cats start rubbing their heads on the floor when I give them a sniff of catnip. And you don't dare get near their claws when they're hopped up on that stuff.

Years ago, an elderly neighbor called me because she was weak and having chest pain. She would NOT call an ambulance, and asked me to take her "in".

I flew up there, all ready to go, but she wanted to take a shower first! I couldn't believe it! I was in a panic while she got herself ready.

I now understand that concept. I still think it's stupid, but I understand it. Know what I'm sayin'?

I worked as a parmedic a long time, and I was amazed by how silly some folks could be. the old ladies always wanted to have their hair done, and showered before they would go to the ER. Even in the face of a massive heart attack or stroke. Trust me, no one in the ER cares if you are having a bad hair day, or a no hair day. We care about the mechanics of it all.

btw, I buy cat nip in pellet form. its much easier to clean up when they are worn out. They sometimes eat half of it, but most of the time the leaves, and dusty stuff just makes a mess. I have a nice tree house for the kitties that garunteed for life, as long as you never rub cat nip on it. Cat nip can sour! I never knew that. then the cats dont want to go near it.

Today is my "beauty day." And trust me I am feeling anything but "beautious". On beauty day, I take care of the little things - nails, deep condition my aging dry hair and skin, etc. After I do all of this, I feel so much better and ready for the weekend. It is like washing away all the worries of the week away and starting anew.

Whenever I smell Apple Cider Vinegar it reminds me of Easter and dying Easter Eggs.
