Default Mom (81) is having surgery today.

My mom is having knee replacement surgery right now. I am so nervous, and I feel bad that I am not there. She lives 500 miles from me. My older sister and brother are with her. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Kudos to Mom! I'll be praying for both of you, Barb. Be of good cheer, my dad got a new hip at 81 and it led to his second adolescence! The recovery was surprisingly easy for him (yes, it was a lot for an old fart), and once healed, there was no stopping him.

Doctor said she did well in surgery -- only took one hour and 45 minutes. She is out of recovery, and is now back in her own room. Pretty groggy but said hi to me on my sister's cell phone. Hopefully the recovery will go as well. Thank you for all of your prayers!

Glad to hear Mom made it through surgery ok, Barb. I know how hard it is to be so far away when family is going through ''stuff''. take care and sending healing prayers her way.
