Yes, the ground does shake. And it's very loud. And very bright (my eyesight may yet recover). Hands down the best place to watch is from the west side of the east causeway.
We took advantage of the trip and snuck off to our condo for a few days on Treasure Island (near St. Pete). I swam out to the sand bar and scored a major haul of sand dollars. And the dolphins were very active about 100 yards off shore. And the water was warm enough to swim. And we stocked up on a 6 month's supply of marinated bacon wrapped shrimp kabobs. I love the beach. Now back in Houston and working. Bummer. Next month - southern Utah! Tom |
