Default More Poking and Prodding today....

Well, boys and girls... today I get to go in for another ultrasound on bladder and kidneys. Such FUN! and if they can't figure it all out this time, then next time we get to take a little camera and look at my poor bladder from the inside.

Remind me again... this is worth it because....?

Feel better! bladder stuff is no fun. I am still on ampicillin, and I am so tired of it. I feel like I reek from every pore and stink of it.

The camera thing isnt bad, its no worse than a straight cath. I was wide awake for mine, and it wasnt bad at all.

Legz - It's worth it because . . .there are treatments and medications that can be used to help you.

When you say "camera" I am assuming you mean a cystoscopy. If so, it is not bad at all. In fact, it was far more comfortable than the urodynamics studies. Plus, they numb you up a little bit so you don't feel much, just pressure. And, depending on your dr., you can watch the whole thing on the screen. It is pretty cool.

Let us know how it goes.

LOL that just does not sound like fun. Funny part is I love watching these things done to other people because the human body is fascinating... i just don't like watching mine.

LOL You don't have to watch. My urologist always asks me if I want to see. I too don't mind at all seeing it on others and don't mind seeing some of my own but DDs, that's a totally different story. I have already told DDs that when they have babies, I can't be in the room with them unless absolutely necessary. I can't stand to see them in pain and it upsets me. AND, I hate to see deliveries. I hated it in nursing school, I hate to see it on TV, I never watched my own be delivered, etc. I guess we each have our things that we can't deal with.

i wasn't allowed to watch. had to move around a lot in different positions. It wasn't bad but it hurt like H#&& on the way home. My bladder is still not emptying (Duh!) and he would not comment on my kidneys. Told me I have to wait for the doc to look at the pics. So wait I shall.

Gotta love those bladder spasms. They hurt like heck. I have retention as well. But at this point it is not bad enough to justify medication. The urologist gave me the option. I chose not to as it can mess with your bowel and why mess with something that is finally fixed and working just fine. He agreed with me.

I hope you are feeling better today and your bladder has calmed down some from the stress of yesterday.

Thanks. I am feeling better today. It wasn't my bladder so much as the kidneys. He had to push under my ribs to see them. Still a little tender, but like I said before, at least I can feel it and it's not numb there.

And as far as waiting for the results... to be perfectly honest, I just don't want to know if there is anything else wrong with me anymore. I am on enough meds to take out a small country as it is, and the poisons from that are probably what is causing most of this particular mess. So I don't wanna know! LOL

Feel better, Legzz. Let us know what the outcome is. Praying for the best.
