Default Is there a blow dryer that has a cool setting?

My hair looks horrible the last few days. It's been so hot that if I try to use the blow dryer, I'll keel over for sure. Are there any than blow just plain air, not hot air? And what's the term for it, so I'll now how to find one? Thank you one and all!

Yes, there is. Mine just says cool, warm or hot for the setting. Hi or Low or Off for the speed. When I use it be it winter or summer and I seldom use it, I use the cool setting.

Mine has a button called "Cool Shot". It's an Infiniti hairdryer made by Conair.

It also helps that I stand (or sit if my back is driving me nuts) in front of an electric fan while I'm drying off and drying my hair with the hair dryer.

B2Y,

That's the same with my blow dryers. For years blow dryers have had a cool setting, I seldom use the cool setting

If you go shopping just read the information on the blow dryer you are interested in, If that one doesn't have a cool setting then another one will

I've even seen blow-dryers that can "stand" on counter and be pointed at your hair, eliminating need to hold them. These are harder to find.

I found one with a "cool shot" supposed to set your style (as if I had one) but it's separate from the actual settings. As in "choose cool, warm or hot".

I have one! Mine is a Vidal Sassoon. It has a cool, warm, & hot setting as well as a cool shot. It also came with a difusser. I bought it about 2 years ago and they still sell them at Walgreen's. I usually use the warm 1st and then once my hair drys a little, I switch to cool.

EDIT: I forgot - I also have a Revlon Ionizer blow drying brush thing. It also has a cool setting on it. This is my favorite dryer as I can style my hair while drying it and only need to use 1 hand. http://www.amazon.com/Revlon-RV440C-...8692803&sr=8-1

many hair dryers have a cool setting because it "locks in" that set style.

also a hands free way to hold the thing http://www.myprostand.com/
