Sorry i haven't been around much. I was having some severe depression issues, which seemed to be exacerbated by the anti depressant...go figure. But I am feeling much better now.

Saw the new ortho yesterday (both of them), and the decision is... Too much wrong with my back for surgery, so that is out. The medical cement idea to build it back up would not work bc there are other things in my spine causing the compression to get worse so it would wear the cement right our of there. And the metal pin idea ... well, 21 MRI's int he last 2 years with 3 more scheduled in the next 2 weeks says metal is a bad idea. And my spinal cord is swollen from the pushing of discs and MS carp, so ANY surgery is too risky for me.

But, they did figure out why my hip has been hurting for the last 3 weeks! Seems I tore a hip flexor and have burisitis (swelling of the joint) and it is causing my muscle to rub against the bone.

Not all bad news though, I like the new ortho because he is honest and he doesn't beat around the bush and make up excuses like the last one.

I got to have lunch with my mom and my two best friends and DD yesterday, so that was a much needed mood lifter. AND....

My new phone has arrived. I take back all of the bad things I have said about touch screen phones and how i don't need all that added stufff. Because I will admit I am in LOVE with my new phone! It does everything but change the oil in my car!

You know on paper it sounds really bad. Actually, in real life it's no day in the park either. But, like everything else that has gone wrong with me int he last 2 years I will adjust and adapt as much as I can.

I am a little worried about the amount of meds, and the side effects and the fact that they are giving me meds to counteract the side effects of the other meds.

I keep telling them it is like putting a band aid on a bullet wound. They give me these really great drugs that give me energy and dull the pain, so then I tend to over do it because I cannot feel it when I go too far and then of course I spend the next two days recouperating. And in the process manage to mess up the back and everything else even worse.

They messed up the MRI scheduling when they called yesterday to tell me the machine was broken and I had to reschedule. Took me 4 phone calls and and act of God to get it straight, but it is over.

OH YEAH, I forgot to mention... I had to drive back to my house yesterday bc I forgot my MRI scan so the ortho could see them. Then I got all the way to the appt and gave them the disc before I realized the hospital gave me somoene else's scans!!! But that is the way my days seem to go lately so I am learning to just roll with the punches!

LMAO judging from the past 6 months, i have to say the last thing I need is another "break". God, knows it would never heal! LOL Sorry, that was just way too funny.

Get to go take pics of my Tspine tomorrow... and return the disc that isn't mine and ask for mine.
