I totally agree with both of you. It seems like the accepted thing to do these days......have a melt down and then post about it on one of the Internet social avenues.

Yeah, he could have brought out a machine gun and killed everyone on board. He showed as little regard for his passenger's welfare, just the same..

He sure is enjoying his 15 minutes of fame. I think he should get a little jail time.

I wonder what would have happened if a passenger had done what he did?

He just showed much immaturity, IMHO. We don't need people like that on airplanes......passengers or crew.

They'd be in front of a firing squad about now.

Yep........you're right about that. I think his ex-wife was on GMA this morning. I didn't get to see it but think I heard somewhere that she made a statement. I wonder if he had anger issues during their marriage?

I think the ex wife is trying to get "her" 15 minutes of fame by outting him. He lives with a "partner" and I think the ex just wanted her name in the headlines.

I saw her this A.M. on GMA. I hadn't realized that she is his ex-wife. However, I watched it again now and really paid attention to it. I also found out that he has a male partner which I never caught this A.M.

The ex-wife said he always was fine in their marriage. I'm thinking that she got her "15 minutes of fame" now too.

The news tonight reported that a huge majority of passengers interviewed said that he had been rude to everyone and he was the instigator in the situation that involved the "unruly" passenger.

They also reported that he wants his job back!!

Honestly.....I wouldn't want anyone to know I had ever been involved with him.

Seems like they both thrive on drama.

Then he must be related to me somehow. My family is a bunch of attention seekers.

He deserves to lose his job for the incident. not because he lost his temper, I can relate to that, I think he needs punishment because he pulled the silde, and left, even tho the doors were about to be opened. He also took alcohol which speaks loudly. Hind sight being what it is and being an arm chair quarter back I am sure I can make brilliant assessments from the safety of my own home. He needs to pay for the slide deployment, and he should be embarrassed by his actions.
