Default Mood vs. 'Tude
I'm circling the drain about now, so probably this will be gibberish, but something's but running around in my mind all day (plenty of room).

Is a "bad" mood the same as a "bad" attitude?

At first I said no, we're all in a bad mood once in a while. That doesn't mean we all have bad attitudes.

Or does it? I think I use the euphemism "bad mood" when I really mean I have a bad attitude, albeit sometimes temporary.

I've really got to think this through sometime when I'm awake. What are your thoughts on this?

Just looking in the dictionary Mood means feeling. Attitude means position. I'm sure a help, eh

Actually, I think you nailed it. Who knew it was that simple? We use the two interchangeably ("I have a bad attitude today") and they are technically not. Still giving this some thought.

I think of attitude as the status quo in the make-up of who we are. Moods are temporary shifts of that status quo.
