They're filming a portion of Transformers 3 in the historic Apollo flight control room here at Johnson Space Center today. I've spent WAY too much time on this little inconvenience. I'm wanting to just kick them all out of my building!

130 male extras. 7 female extras. Had to wear a military uniform circa 1969.
I'd tell ya the plot of the movie but I'm not supposed to. It doesn't come out until next June or whatever. Suffice it to say that Neil Armstrong and company on Apollo 11 brings back some robots... Actually, I'll have to admit - it was kinda fun. And the girls... I am NOT telling my wife about this aspect... Rebecca, Laura, that cute asian girl... Oh, by the way - the "Black Ops" room in the movie - that's just a part of the movie. It doesn't exist in real life. Wait until the movie comes out - you'll understand. They built it in a corner of the viewing room for the mocr (mission operations control room). $64 for 8 hours and a free breakfast/lunch. That's the going rate for a no speaking extra. Tom |
