Default Thanksgiving Dressing

Would anyone like to share your secrets for making light and fluffy dressing? I like it made with both cornbread and white bread, but can't get it just right....Like Grandma used to make!?

Thanks if you wish to share!! I appreciate it in advance!!!

I use stove top dressing and put it in the turkey, Delicious! I'm sure you will get some good recipes though.

Thanks Doydie,

I've never been brave enough to put the dressing in the turkey, but I'll bet that would be really good! Sometimes I use stovetop as my base, then add crumbled bisquits along with chicken broth, and other ingredients. It usually turns out 'average' tasting. Just can't get it as fluffy as it should be. It tastes too dense.

Maybe another year I'll get brave enough for 'your' way!!!
Thanks!

Putting it in the ol' carcus does give it a lot of moisture and flavor. I think I could just get a bowl of it and sit in front of the TV and eat!

Don't jam too much in, watch your fluids, hopefully inside the bird is moist. I think.

Yeah, I love the way it looks to have the stuffing in the turkey but it's on the outside also. Looks just like Grandmas.
