Default What's your favorite part of the day?

I don't mean "morning" or "evening", but more specifically.

True, there are days when I'm in a mood and would answer that with "I don't have a favorite part, I hate them all, bite me."

But other than that, here are my top three:

1. The moment I am out of my clothes and into my jammies. Besides the physical comfort, it's a mental feeling of being truly off-duty.

2. When I finish lunch, sit down at the computer with my Dove dark promises, and listen to Bob doing the dishes.

3. Whatever time my daughter calls.

That moment when I first crawl into bed at night. The feeling of the cool sheets against my legs (well, when they aren't numb ) and being able to lay my head down and just relax. Feeling sleepy and knowing that I can just drift off......

Nap time! Seriously! My mornings have been rough as of late but after I take my nap, I feel so much better. It takes me from 6 in the morning until 10 in the morning to finally get my body to work with me. Then it's nap time.

Other times that I like:

1. After I get out of the shower and/or Epsom salt bath. I always feel more relaxed and clean.

2. After dinner when DBF and I just hang out - him watching TV and me reading or playing a game on the computer or catching up with DDs on the phone. It's always such a relaxing time for me.

The moment when the day is done, and I finally get to lay down. The feel of the cool sheets on me, the weight of my body against the mattress. The feel of then tension starting to drain from me. The feel of my cats searching for me after looking thru the house. Whether its 2pm when I finally give up or 10pm. I love that release.

After last week, I'm just thankful for any part of the day and it being a normal day. A roof over my head and normal routines.. can't beat it.

Now if a nice vacation opportunity came along...

Isn't it funny that most of us MSers relish and enjoy our down times, sleep times and nap times.. Guess what? Me Too!!!

I keep it very cool in my house, so I can bundle up in my bankie like a little sick kid. I just wish my Mommy was here to tuck me in and then listen to her busying herself making me sompin good to eat, with the aromas wafting from the kitchen.

Other fav times are, my computer time with my buds/you and FB with family. Lunch time(whenever I decide that is). I have a new fav. time now, since I purchased my Kindle.

When I get home from school. Do you think that means I am ready to retire?

I noticed that too, Sally. We all like our rest. But, is the rest itself or that we feel better after?

There was a time when I would also have said "when I crawl into bed", but the getting-ready-for-bed process has gotten so complicated that by the time I actually get there I'm all agitated and all my parts hurt.

The exception would be on a steamy summer night (yes, we have them in Vermont! Maybe as many as 8 or 10) when we're running the A/C in the bedroom. Then I go to bed as early as I can, enjoy the coolness and read a magazine or book. Then it would be a favorite moment, but not most of the time.
