Default request for a forever home for a sweet lab

I don't think I have ever seen a request like this in our forum here but my daughter asked me to place it. She is a sucker for all animals. She took in a sweet female black lab for some one because roommates were allergic to it and the owner really didn't have the yard for a lab anyway. So she took her in with the intention of finding a home for her. She already has a lab and a boxer and cat so this was another mouth to feed. She finally found a home but this mans work hours have been extended to 12 hour shifts and he is trying to sell her. My daughter found the ad and recognized her and called him. She will take her back if she can't find another home or until she finds another home. She is willing to drive up to 100 miles to bring the dog or meet you half way. We live in Evansville Indiana. She is willing to even drive as far as St Louis just to find a good home for Adelle. She is house trained and a sweet personality. If interested, let me know

aww, how sweet is that?! I would love a doggie, but right now Jack the cat is too sick and swings too quickly to being ill with stress, and a new doggie is stressful.

I hope you find someone. She sounds like a worthy cause.

Bless your daughter, Doydie. Many folks would just drive the dog to the pound and say "well, I did my part" and never look back. It does my heart good to know that there are people who treat the life of a pet with dignity and respect. This little dog is truly fortunate.

Can't take another dog but would help with transport within 2 hours of Baltimore or Washington DC if you find someone. Good luck.

I would love a dog but my hubby doesn't like them as much as I do. I hope you'll find a home for her. Black labs are wonderful dogs. Our neighbors used to have one named Barney and he would come into the yard to visit me and my cat. The cat would puff up and hiss and Barney would just wag his tail and be happy, lol.
