I've got it working now. The books I ordered on my computer got to my Nook in about 7 minutes. What I am having problems with is 'waking' it up. I have a free book I am going to sit and read a bit now.

I took my Kindle to the gym with me today and read while I was walking on the treadmill (only place that I can read while walking) It makes the walking go by a lot faster, and I think I walk more when I get lost in a book. I really do think I read more since I got my Kindle. I've been downloading a lot of fan fiction off the internet (fan fiction = stories written by fans for tv shows or movies) Right now I'm trying to find as many Zorro stories as I can find, and the occasional Hawaii-Five 0 stories. I copy/paste them into Word and then convert them into kindle files and read.

I'm filling my Kindle up with fan fic. Keeps me from being bored when I cant find anything interesting on Amazon to read. (and saves me money, fan fiction is free)

I cant wait till next month. I pre-ordered a book from Amazon. (a Warehouse 13 novel....W13 is a tv show on Syfy channel). I cant wait to wake up one morning and have a new book just show up on my Kindle. I've only pre-ordered a book once before, I'm all excited about it. Especially since I've never seen a novel for Warehouse 13 before.

My dad has magazine subscriptions on his Kindle (Reader's Digest) He really loves to get a new issue every month. He really likes to sit outside and read his Kindle.

Only thing wrong with all the reading material I have in my Kindle, is that I tend to have more than two or three books that I'll be reading. I dont always finish a book before starting a new one. I take turns on which book I want to read some days.

Ok got it all fixed, by myself (I hate techs) and am reading my first dime/99c mystery..

Well I was reading at 2am when I shoulda been sleepin... I like the bookmark option, then, if I don't wait too long, I can start reading where I left off.

I hope you are enjoying your new Nook, Doyds.. I like that I can read laying down and not have to hold a heavy book open.

I have a lot of expensive books here I havent read because of that and my old eyes aint what they usta be.

I wish there was an option, somehow to convert the books I've already purchased, to kindle, for FREE!!!

Thank you Doydie and all for helping me out so much. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks..

I wish I could do that with my older paperback books....convert them to the Kindle for free.

Technically, I could, but it would involve an Exacto knife, a scanner and a lot of patience. I dont have the patience.

Maybe Amazon would work out a trade. I could send them my books and they could transfer the kindle versions to my kindle. They could resell my used books for almost new and make out like bandits.
