Default This is Just Crazy . . .

As you all know, things have been crazy for me lately. Well, not even lately, but since the beginning of December - strep, flare, my dad passing, reacted to medications, etc. I also increased my Celexa briefly due to anxiety but found that it made me jittery and nervous so the dr. had me go back down. And, as some you may remember, my therapist taught me the EFT technique as well as some other techniques to help with the anxiety. I found that eating more has helped the anxiety tremendously!!! It has made such a difference for me. (That's my brief update on that).

As far as the MS flare was concerned, things started improving. Then we hit our worst allergy season on record and I felt like heck. Due to that, I ended up with a sinus infection. Last week and this week I finally started feeling normal again, pollen counts dropped, and things were getting better. I had more energy, I was able to manage the pedals in the car, I could do more, and overall was feeling pretty good.

Then, this morning, BAM! I'm hit with a stomach bug. UGH! The only MS thing going on is increased spasms, probably from the stomach bug coming on. DBF wasn't feeling too great either, although, he went to work any how. He may be home at lunch.

It just doesn't seem to end. I seem to get over one thing and then something else comes along. I know, I'm just venting away here. But seriously, this is getting ridiculous and I'm just getting so tired of it. I just want to feel better for more than a week.

Do any of you go through this kind of stuff?

Tricia

Stomach bugs are the worst! I can deal with allergies and even a cold but stomach bugs just wipe me out. I hope yours is short lived.

I've had a sinus headache most of the day but I'll take that over the tummy troubles any day. I hope you feel better soon.

Me too! I just got off the phone with my neighbor across the street and she has a stomach thing going on too. It must be going around.

I hope your sinus headache clears soon. Maybe that's why you are extra sleepy today.

You get a cyber-hug from me, too. I hear ya. I can barely remember when having a "good" day didn't mean having a "not awful" day.

That's exactly it! Good days are not happening as often as they used to. "Not awful" days are happening more. Bad days are starting to lessen. But, I too can barely remember what the good days are like. When they have them, I totally celebrate! They are just so awesome! And, just think, we all used to have good days all the time. Boy did I ever take those days for granted.

I'm sorry tkrik,

I've studied this thread intently and your stomach bug is not related to MS in any way. Therefore, it should be moved to the "Stomach Bugs NOT Related to MS" board and possibly added to the "Nauseous Not Due To MS" thread also.

BTW, once I caught on to what you were talking about I put on my PC surgical mask so I would not be exposed too. Man! Being sick now days is becoming such a PIA and then the neuros what US to determine what is and what is not MS related. Go figure?

Sorry you're hit with this as it is insidious without the complications of dealing with MS or any chronic disease. I'll keep you in my positive thoughts.

tkrik,

"Good days?" OK now, let's not start rumors of optimism on this board or people will get the idea since we, "Look so good," that we actually are having a good day.
