Default Tomorrow is the day! im outta here!

well, finally heard back from the cat sitter, and she can bump the dates by a day. I am leaving Wednesday to go to Newport. RI. I cancelled my stay at the Marriott and booked myself over to a bed and breakfast with a better spa pacakage, nicer room, and better amenities. Too many reviews on the Marriott that were horrible. Most spoke of how thin the walls were and they could hear folks beside, and above them. ALL NIGHT! I want QUIET! When I fall asleep or lay down to rest I dont want to know what drunk girl next door has to say to strange man she picked up at the bar. So, im staying at a new place. Using a new spa that has a better rating, offered better services, at better prices.

I am going to rent a segway! I am going to the huge park and flying one of those massive kites! I am getting manicure, pedicure, massage with sugar scrub, and a facial. I am taking the newportdinnertrain.com and using the lunch tour of the city and the early eve tour of the marina by boat. I have booked a king sized suite with a private deck that comes serviced with fresh juices, and breads. Champagne and strawberries on arrival, and this place has free internet, and parking. The last place charged 20 for parking and another 25 because you must use the valet in order to nagagate their tiny lot. Another 13 for internet WIRED which is a system that sometimes works sometimes not according to the reviews. Im much happier in the new spot. its MUCH more quiet. More modern rehabbed building and more attentive staff.

Jack has spent the last 3 days quite sick, needing injections, which almost relieves me. I know that his episode is over for this next week or so, and I wont have to worry about the baby sitter getting stuck not knowing what to do.

So, im packing, clearing, and setting up to leave the house! FINALLY! Oh Dear God each time I come within inches of that door step something pulls me back. I think I have all my bases covered. Aint no mountain high enough! I need outta here!

I hope you have a relaxing, but more important ...soul filling experience. Sometimes we just need to get away to find what fills us up and start anew.

I was just counting how many YEARS its been since I went away and did something just for ME! I normally take vacation and go care for my mother, or brother when he fell and broke his legs, or MIL or friends who are in and out of hospital. its been since 1996 that I went away simply for FUN and not having some errand attached to it in some way or another. or some hospital trip to take care of a medical issue. I think this ME ME ME trip is long over due.

I cant wait!!! I am also going to schedule more of these short jaunts.

Have fun and get some much needed rest and relaxation. I hope you're not taking your laptop! You need a break!

Well, Dej, I hope you have a better experience on the Segway than my friend, Jim. He has MS and balance issues, and his wife warned him NOT to try it. He fell off and broke his leg and another bone!

So, enjoy yourself, but BE KEERFUL!
