Default I'm home!

Well 3 days and 2 nights flew by. I did tons of stuff. From crawling on a sailing ship, to a romantic lunch on a dinner train, followed by a harbor cruise around the bay. I walked till I thought my legs would fall off, folllowed by a nice mani/pedi and then some home made fusion gelatto as we walked to St. Mary's church where JFK and Jackie O got married. Saw a naughty store that would make Leggs blush, and my old child hood home. Wanted to get so much done this morn, but the DH was in a mood to just go, and get home. I kept trying to tell him that just because we checked out of the B&B doesnt mean we had to leave town. He seemed tired.

The B&B had a wonderful whirlpool spa, but when I filled up the tub and turned on the jets, the ICK and gross and chunks of stuff that flew out of the jets made me nauseous. GROSS! Next day i complained to the desk. They had a mechanic fix broken jets, and the maid clean it. Looking forward to it the next night I filled the jets, turned it on and ICK! same thing! Spoke to the manager on my way out today and she seemed quite upset that I kept pointing this out. "we worked on it! I dont know what more you want from me?!" I tried to explain that jet tubs require deep cleaning! the jet holes need SCRUBBING or body oils and other nasty things get stuck in there and eventually swim out to the water. Either way her efforts to fix it were NOT successful and her attitude towards my reproting of her ICKY tub was not needed, as I was trying politely to let her know that ONE of the serices she offered me was UNUSEABLE! Had i known I would have booked elsewhere. She cut the rate by another 10%, but still was snooty about it. The room was clean and quiet. in the end thats all I wanted.

The cats are awesome and behaved quite nicely for the sitter. She sat for hours and read outloud from her book to them. Jack is very hapy to see DH because DH spoils him.

Im POOPED! I walked and walked. We parked our car when we got there, and didnt get back in it till this morning. Its a wonderful place but you need legs of steel to keep going. Had I stayed another day I was going to rent a three wheel scooter. The city was overcast and almost no view. It was not crowded, but come tonight it will be overwhelmed with folks on M day weekend.

So, im back! the car is unpacked. DH is back to being easily riled after 3 days of being relaxed. The cats are happy, and I will be happy after I get in MY CLEAN tub and scrub the salt/sea and sunscreen lotion off me. I thought of each and every one of you as I started to think I couldnt walk another step, I thought, of how each one of you would cheer me onward to keep enjoying this day, and not sit on the bench and quit. So, you all went with me.

I promise to catch up after I get my legs back under me. ((hugs))

Glad you had a great time, despite the nasty hot tub experience.

Weird that DH would poop out before you, huh?

You da woman, Dej!!!

geeze, I wish I had the energy to go somewhere...

Sounds like you had fun except for the tub.

My dad calls that crud "primordial ooze". Ever see a hot tub in a gym or a hotel...it's got that foamy stuff floating on top that kind of sticks to you when you sit in that water. That's not bubbles from the jets...

Welcome Home~
I'm glad you went and enjoyed your time there. Too bad the facility didn't know all you need is a bit of clorox and dishwasher liquid to clean the jets

Nice pics you sent too! DH looked suave next to the statue /giggle
