Fragrance is still the one thing I enjoy. Not alot of it, though. Just very subtle.

My favorite is Philosophy's Amazing Grace. It's very light and a small container of it lasts me more than a year.

I hate it when you can smell a person before you can even see them. That's not what perfume or cologne is supposed to be used for. Someone in Publix had on so much cologne the other evening that you could smell it before you even walked in the store! It smelled like a man's cologne.....guess it was the classic "I'll just spray some of this instead of taking a shower" logic.

I can still enjoy a touch of Chanel #5 on the wrist, but then I have always detested heavy perfumes.

I remember getting sick as a kid, when anyone came around carrying a heavy *parfume* scent..

Chanel #5 and Coco (also made by Chanel) were the only perfumes that I could stand for the longest time. My mom used to wear it when she was younger, and I wore some in my early 20s. But I developed some sort of allergy to it by the time I was 25, and now I cant be around any perfumes if I can help it.

I get migraines from perfume and I wish I could wear it or use scented candles.

I do get my nails done, gel fake nails with polish, every 3-4 weeks since I work in sales and use my hands showing products and setting up smart phones and tablets for customers. I have horrible nails normally so I have to indulge in this at least while I'm in sales. I have a very good nail salon with good prices and excellent service. My girl has been in this business almost 20 years.

I love those too! Coco is one of my favorite perfumes. Chanel #5 is a close 2nd. My SIL used to wear Coco and I made a comment about how much I liked it. That year, my mom gave me a little bottle of it for my birthday. It is long gone and I can't afford it but man I love how it smells.

I wear scented lotion now. I find it stays with you all day and the kind I wear is not overpowering. Plus, you get 2 for 1 - soft skin and a slight pretty scent. I used to use Sweet Kisses that I bought at Sears. They stopped making it. DD19 gave me a sample pack of perfumed lotions from VS for Christmas this year. Well one of them, Love Spell, smells just the same as the Sweet Kisses.

I loved the way Coco smelled too. One Xmas, I bought my mom a sampler of Chanel perfumes, and they had #5 and Coco in it, along with two or 3 other perfumes. They were really really really small glass bottles.

My mom ended up giving me the bottle of Coco, and I had that thing for several years. It actually ended up evaporating. All the bottles in that little sampler ended up evaporating before she could use it all.

I was already starting to become allergic to it when my mom gave me that little bottle. When I first tried it, I put a teeny bit on my wrist a couple of times. On the third or fourth time I used that perfume, I ended up getting hives on my wrist where I put the little teeny dab of it. After trying it one more time and getting hives again, I decided to just put a little bit on a tissue and keep it in my coat pocket, since I could always toss the tissue if the scent bothered me. That worked for a little bit, until I got so allergic that I couldnt have it anywhere near me.

When I telemarketed at an inbound company, I hated summertime. Because a lot of the women there would come to work, marinated in their perfumes, and the company's air conditioning really really sucked. Put 400 people in the same room, with malfunctioning air conditioning, and you're going to have a bunch of asthmatics and allergic people having to go to the emergency room...with half of the workers (the women) wearing competing scents of perfume, and the other half (the men) wearing Axe body spray. I seriously think that whoever makes Mace must make Axe body spray. I've been maced before and I get the same reaction to mace that I do to Axe body spray. (I was in a grocery store, and some bratty teenagers decided to walk thru the store, spraying mace in the aisles before running out. I happened to be walking down the aisle, right behind one of those little putzes as they were spraying)

I hate perfumes. Good thing that department stores no longer have "snipers" in the aisles that would spray you before asking if they can spray you. Had that happen once too, and very nearly had the police called on the woman for that. That store quit sniping people with perfumes after that.

There was a time I would not be caught dead going out of the house without my hair done and make up in place. Not anymore. I do try and use the mineral makeup just to even out my skin tone. Then a little blush. Thats it.
I feel too lazy. Then you have to make sure you wash it all off before you go to bed.....Half the time I throw my hair up in a clip and I'm done.

Someone once told me that married ladies do this cause they already have their man. Maybe so. I like to think of it as......WHO CARES? Age tends to make us more comfortable with who we are.
Sometimes I think my hubby misses the girl who used to put on pretty clothes, do her hair and makeup (when I was still working). But you know what?.....he is getting quite the belly, going incredibly gray, and lives in sweat pants. Glad he is comfortable in his skin too. Hee Hee.
