:D:D:D LMAO! That is funny! (and probably true for some of us. I am fortunate I have a decent memory - just not visual and auditory if the conversation gets too complex.:o).

My name for a band

I think the perfect name for a band from this group would be "gimps with Rythem".

I played the flute too! I started in the 5th grade and also played in 6th. I liked it, but I discovered choir and the piano and there was no turning back. I took piano lessons for 6 years, and my DM also took them for a short time. Our piano teacher came to our house for our lessons and since she was also a dental hygienist, she also cleaned our teeth on the living room couch! I still play piano now, but not very often. About six years ago, we moved our piano to the basement to make more room upstairs. Since we did that, I have hardly played.

My absolute favorite song to play on the piano is 'Amazing Grace', I could play it over and over again for hours and never get tired of it!

Mine too! I had the church version, a jazz version, and a little rock version I played. Drove my mom nuts, but she sang along. My baby brother played a song called Black Bear Stomp. A simple beginner tune, but that kid could rock it up, jazz it out and take it to church. I think he played more by "ear" than actually learning to read music. Funny, 40 years later he can still play that song...but nothing else! :D

6th grade - Coronet

1-8th grade Piano (7,8th grade Organ too)

High school Alto Sax and Violin (I told my dad I loved Sax and Violin's (say it quickly and you'll get it)... I fell in love with the sax when I saw St. Elmo's Fire (my favorite movie) and the violin when I heard Charlie Daniels play "the devil went down to GA". but man it didn't take long to realize I would NEVER be able to play like him. I kept it up because I like country music and there's a place in country bands for violin. I never got into a band but wanted to.

Adult still kept up with the piano and started the harmonica (which I still lay and love).

I have an ear for music and can play anything I hear once on the radio on at least on the piano. I thought about picking up a cheap trumpet but am happy with the harmonica.

Whuh?

I still play piano for church in synch with the organ. I don't play fancy stuff, just hymns. I've always maintained the good Lord made me a "work-horse", not a "show-horse." *sigh
