I believe the glass house started last Monday. But I may be wrong and it would start tonight.

Aarcyn 06-26-2012 02:28 PM

I am watching He11's Kitchen and Master Chef. Sally got me hooked on them.

It would be fun to go to He11's Kitchen for dinner but those sous chefs seem to bottom of the pecking order in personalities. Not sure I want them cooking! And all of them seem to smoke too much. Those dirty ashtrays in the living quarters are .

And on Master Chef, I am rooting for the blind girl. I wonder if she has MS. And the really tall guy, I like him but he gets little air play.

I like the young kid that everyone hates too.

Oh and I have not seen anything special on AGT. And SYTYCD is just getting started. Amazing dancers. Makes me wish I had danced Ballroom when I was young.

barb02 06-26-2012 02:44 PM

I have wondered that about the blind girl too. She said on the first show she had a disease the affected her optic nerve and that she gradually went blind.

barb02 06-26-2012 02:50 PM

Just found her blog. It says

" In 2003, I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO). It is similar to the more widely researched Multiple Sclerosis in that the overactive immune system causes nerve impulses to misfire, often resulting in vision loss and paralysis. While MS tends to affect the brain, however, NMO mainly interrupts the optic nerves and spinal cord. The course of NMO is also more progressive than that of MS; full recoveries from acute attacks are less likely. After several bouts of optic neuritis, the network of nerves connecting my eyes to my brain atrophied, and my vision deteriorated to what the doctors call “counting fingers.” What I see can best be described as shadows and extreme blurriness like I’m eternally walking through a cloud. Or imagine staring into a mirror foggy with steam right after a hot shower–that’s my world."

Watched it last night. I'm not crazy about the premise. It's all based on the audience picking two peeps, each week, to be in limbo and the one who's team loses the challange and the winner goes in limbo:rolleyes::rolleyes:..then the next week the players vote for the one they don't like to go home. Can I say stuuuuuupid!!

Hells Kitchen is too darn much cussing and screaming, can't tell if anyone is able to cook or not.

Master Chef is good and they can all cook. I'm with the blind Gal too, not because she's blind, but because she's whipping their butts at cooking.

doydie 06-26-2012 11:15 PM

I don't watch the cooking shows mainly because I thought all of them had extreme cussing and abuse by the host. I guess I have been wrong. How in the world does this blind girl do it. I can see that she could do very well in her own home because she has everything where she wants it but she isn't in her own surroundings.

I was so glad that the guy who lied about his injuries in the service didn't make it. Although when you listen to what he says about it he is kind of like what I tell my husband. I believe in what I am saying. I just don't know if what I am saying is actually fact.

doydie 07-13-2012 03:56 PM

America's got talent is now in the competition phase. I told my husband that Howard Stern has the right name, stern. Even though Big Barry was bad and should never have been put into the top 48 Howard was sure rough on him. To be put in the top 48 gives you so much hope. He should never be there. I was really disapointed in the group that in their first audtion was awesome in what they did with the light exhibition and what they created. This weeks performance was awful. You could see movement behind the screen and the story was terrible. (my opinion). So far last weeks and this weeks 4 acts that will be able to go through are right. Like Sharon says "America always gets it right".

SYTYCD started the competition also. Last week was just a night to introduce who got through. They are doing it different this year, kiind of like Dancing with the stars do. They have two weeks of competition before some one is voted out. I just now watched this weeks show from my DVR but I think they said that after next weeks show that there will be more than one voted off. I think I heard him say 4 will be voted off but I am known to be wrong!!!!! They will also have two winners. As Kat says 'one girl and one guy'. I don't like calling the females girls.

WOW, American Idol is losing Steve and Jennifer!!!!! What are they going to do?

Design Star is now down to the final 3. The season has gone by real fast. I love watching these guys take a nothing space and seeing what they make out of it in a short period. Of course I don't know how it is edited and how many people really help. I have always wondered what they do with the finished product. I assume they can take the furniture and accessories back to the store but what about the wall paint? Do they paint over it?

I'm sure there are more that i watch, just can't remember. Anything on HGTV I watch! And of course I can keep the Golf channel on all day long.

SallyC 07-13-2012 06:21 PM

Big Brother started....:)

doydie 07-13-2012 11:19 PM

The glass house started also. It was supposed to be controversial because it was so similar to Big brother and had some of their old employees. I wonder how their ratings are

I didn't like it and it's not really much like BB either.

doydie 07-17-2012 11:20 PM

I just read that Charlie Sheen is in the mix for one of the new American Idol judges. OH NO!!!!! Of course I didn't think I would like Howard Stern as a judge on AGT but he is OK. You can tell he has watched it a lot in the past so he isn't there just for the glory, he seems to care about the show

SallyC 07-18-2012 11:26 AM

Perfect!!!! Charlie Sheen??? That should bring in more respect from the audience..NOT!! The same for Stern  Funny as they both are, role models they are not..Sheesh.

doydie 07-18-2012 11:28 PM

Had the first people eliminated form DWTS. Nygel Lythgoe specified that they do not vote people off on the show. They save people. I'm sure that made the 4 dancers who went home tonight fell really good. I haven't watched AGT results show yet to see who the 4 going through on that show. Last night was a rough night with several mishaps.

doydie 07-25-2012 11:26 PM

I just read my post above. I didn't mean DWTS, I meant SYTYCD. I felt so sorry for the lady eliminated tonight. She had just got a standing ovation for her performance, rave reviews and then sent home.

I totally agree with the acts going into the semifinals on AGT. How many times can you see a guy being shot out a cannon? The sand painter was awesome. I think the young dancer, the teenager, was just so happy to be there and to dance that it didn't break her day. I think I read that Howard Stern may nt be back. My head was hurting so much yesterday I may have just dreamed it

SallyC 07-26-2012 08:17 AM

Do you remember Weird scroungy Russel from Survivors(twice) and then his crybaby weird Nephew came on the next season?

Well, His brother was just kicked off of "Big Brother", for losing his temper and chasing someone down to hit him. I wonder how many more Russel clones are out there?:D:p:D

doydie 07-26-2012 03:51 PM

Did they have him on Big Brother just because of his name? I am so tired of the family.

I was wrong on Howard Stern leaving AGT. It's Sharon Osbourne. That will be quite a loss. She is so loving to those acts even when they mess up. She will still let them down in such a gracious way. Plus I just love her hair. But she does have a lot on her plate and I can understand if she has to leave. I don't think it has been given out why she wants to quit.

ginnie 07-26-2012 05:16 PM

On Mr. charlie

OH NO!!!!!! That will not make me want to watch, and I do love the show. How is he going to be someone good for the show????????? He doesn't exactly have a cool head from my understanding. ginnie:eek:

Sparky10 07-31-2012 04:58 PM

My favorite, DWTS, has announced their upcoming contestants: http://gma.yahoo.com/dancing-with-th...announced.html. All are past contestants, mostly winners.

It is one of maybe 3 or 4 TV shows I make a point of watching.

doydie 08-01-2012 12:26 AM

I think they have some of the past contestants coming back, Bristol Palin and Pamela Anderson just for the shock of it. The others will make for a very good season. I did read Derek Hough isn't coming back. I don't know if that meant after this season or not. He kept the choreography level up so high and brought out the best in his star

SallyC 09-10-2012 09:56 PM

Bringing up the old thread to say HOORAH to the two chefs Christine. They won Hells Kitchen and Master Chef respectively. Christine, who won MC is blind:eek: and still out cooked them all.

Watching Big Brother, just for grins. Nasty mean peeps on that show. They should all lose.:(

doydie 09-10-2012 11:39 PM

Thanks for bringing this old relic out of the attic Sally. There have been several reality shows we could have been talking about but haven't. AGT is about to finish, SYTYCD is down to it's final 3 couples, Stars earn stripes is over. Those are the ones I watched. And DWTS starts soon. The Voice and X Factor are also starting but I didn't watch them last year and I don't think I'll watch them this season either. It's a reality show in itself watching who is falling out as judges for AI and who may or may not be coming in! Oh, i also watch Americas best handyman on HGTV. I think it might be a woman this time!!!!

Darlene 09-11-2012 01:41 AM

One program I can't wait to see is NCIS. I have thinking about ever since back in May on the final. I also have set my television to tape the last one all my favorite shows.

doydie 09-11-2012 02:59 PM

i love all of the NCIS shows but the original is my favorite. There is no other guy like Gibbs. I just wish i could remember what the last episode was about. I hope they have a marathon before they start the new season.

KittyLady 09-11-2012 07:35 PM

Yes Sally. My two favorites won!! I think Christina really deserved to win. She is much more focused and able to do the job. Christine (the blind cook), I thought she would win from the begining. I just didnt think she'd be going up against Josh. I thought it would have been Becky. (I think that was her name. Im kinda drawing a blank)

Darlene 09-11-2012 11:11 PM

On September 18th will be the last one of the past season. Believe my taper is already set to record it.

doydie 09-11-2012 11:38 PM

I looked up when the new season of NCIS started but I have already forgotten. I think it was the last week of September.

SYTYCD was just wonderful tonight. It is such a shame that two people will be eliminated. I want all four to be winners. I thought it was awful when Lythgoe guy told Cyrus that he would not be voting for him tonight. I didn't even know they gave a vote. He said he was voting for the other guy because he was a real dancer. Even though Cyrus was a street dancer with no dance training at all he was fantastic

Darlene 09-13-2012 01:21 AM

Yes that is the right night the new season starts.

SallyC 09-13-2012 09:04 PM

On BB.....Danielle is too stupid and Dan is too evil, Ian should win.;););)

doydie 09-13-2012 11:34 PM

Well AGT ended and I didn't like it. I didn't mind the show ending. Every reality show has to end so you can get new contestants. I just didn't like the winner. Yes, the dog act was good but I don't know how many dog acts I have seen in the circus. But that comediene, sand artist, splash paint artist and mega huge string artist, they were all wonderful and unique. I enjoyed the acts that all the contestants did with celebrities tonight. I especially enjoyed the roast that the comedien did of the judges. He is good. Oh well, he will get a booking some where. Probably sooner than I can figure out how to spell comedien. I just wonder who they will get to replace Sharon.

doydie 09-16-2012 11:36 PM

Looks like Survivor and DWTS is stating soon. I think Survivor starts next Tuesday

KittyLady 09-25-2012 02:54 PM

Ok, DWTS last night was good, however, Pamela Anderson was the WORST star Ive ever watched TRY to attempt to dance. I hope her sorry bum is illiminated tonight! I think they were abit unfair to Kirstie and Maks. They are so good together. Emmit was really great. He earned every bit of those points. I dont like the new scoring tho. These 1/2 point things is throwing me off for some reason. Anyways, cant wait to see the results show tonight!!

doydie 09-25-2012 06:30 PM

There was an article about Pamela Anderson that 6 months ago she took a celiabcy vow and she didn't know how she was going to keep it with her professional dancer since he was so hot. I think all she cared about was how her hair looked. She kept playing with it. Yes, I am looking forward to her being eliminated. I think they only have her for the ratings.

Darlene 09-26-2012 12:23 AM

We lost Pam, and I am not surprised, by the way she was acting. Look as though she was either high or had been drinking a little to much. As for Kirstie and Maks, they are going to be extra hard on them because of the last time they were together. Judges are wrong with that.

Sparky10 09-27-2012 08:17 AM

DWTS ~ Emmett and Cheryl have an unfair advantage (IMO) as they were together before and were very popular. I don't care for the pairing strategy of some stars getting their previous partner and some not.

Darlene 09-27-2012 11:32 PM

There is a great number of stars with their previous ones, which I feel all should of had a different partner. I am just wondering if they either gave the stars or professional pick.

SallyC 09-28-2012 11:58 AM

ON Survivor. It looks like Lisa Wellchell had a bit of a pity party breakdown. I hope she's gonna be ok.

doydie 10-07-2012 11:21 PM

What does everyone think of the teams on Amazing Race. I think the long haired guys are cool. One of them looks like my son in law. I'm glad they are out of Hong Kong, or was that Tokyo. Anyway it was a huge city and I hate challenges in the huge cities.

doydie 10-09-2012 11:17 PM

How in the world is Bristol Palin getting enough votes to stay on DWTS?

Sparky10 10-10-2012 12:03 AM

Has to be Mom's political friends.

This season is nothing but a popularity contest. Good or bad dancing has nothing to do with who goes or stays. Helio goes while Bristol and Kirstie stay? Total fan base decision.

Drew Lachey said it well about not understanding the judge's scoring. How can Bruno call Shawn Johnson's dance the best he has EVER seen in both the American and UK DWTS, and NOT give it a 10? Absolutely makes no sense. Their comments rarely match their scores anymore.

I am not excited about watching the rest of this season. :(
