KittyLady I used to watch that every single season and I just got tired of it, don't know why. They had some girls with some pretty bad attitudes but yet other reality shows do to and I still watch them.

Yeah, the judges are going for Joshua and Jessica. I don't like either kind of music but I do recognize they have amazing talent. I was even impressed with When a man loves a woman. I do love Hollie, I'm glad she has gone as far as she has. She has learned and grown up so much.

Well Tarzan is gone. All the ladies saw through him. They all knew he was a doctor and didn't need the money. I wonder how they kept him on the show as long as they did.

You're no oddball. I watch it too. I just DVR it cause I like ABC's Wednesday night line up.

Re: Idol, Joshua is the best singer flat out. I was voting for Hollie but switched last night and voted for the "best singer" and that is Joshua. He'll have a career no matter what happens.

Hollie is young and hey, she made it to the top 4. This is where I think she get's off.

No no, Jessica is the best,,na na na na a na..:D

Actually either one should win....and which ever one does, the other will get a contract, as well.:)

Yes, lol, what took those ditzy women so long. It almost makes you wish Colten would come back and win..:D:p:D

ginnie 05-10-2012 01:40 PM

Hello Sally

I watch these singing shows too, and dancing with stars, voice etc. I know we all have favorites, but I have to tell you I think, all of them are darn good. To sing like they do is truely a gift, and once in awhile when someone is spectacular, it brings tears to my eyes, just to see that talent. What fun it is to watch these young talents do their thing! ginnie

doydie 05-10-2012 11:50 PM

So sad to see Holly gone. But I'm sure will pick her up and offer her a deal. Tonight was the first night I saw Jessica walk with a real attitude. But she is 16 and has become a national pastime in a matter of months.

SallyC 05-11-2012 12:53 PM

Well my favorite to win has always been Jessica, but I may have switched allegience to Joshua. He cried all during Holly's closing song.....sooooo sweet.

Jessica will make it no matter what, anyway..:)

doydie 05-11-2012 11:37 PM

Yes, he cried but was it for Hollie leaving or that he had made it to the final three? I don't like any of the remaining. I'll watch it but I don't like them

SallyC 05-12-2012 02:11 PM

You are a cruel woman, Doyds..:D:p:D

doydie 05-12-2012 11:28 PM

Well, I don't like his singing but I did love the emotion he put in his last song. It's the vocal gymnastics I don't like and groveling voice. He is a nice guy, comes from a nice family

I think anyone who had gone through all they had gone through, especailly to have been rejected last year, would give a person that kind of emotion.

doydie 05-13-2012 10:57 PM

Since I watched Survivor all evening I will have to wait until tomorrow to watch The Apprentice. Again, some of my favorite reality shows are coming to an end. Survivor ended tonight, DWTS, AI and The Apprentice are almost done. But SYTYCD and AGT is coming on. I am going to try Howard Stern and see how that works out. I am not a fan of his at all. My husband says he can switch modes but I don't like it that a person has to switch modes to be child friendly.

SallyC 05-14-2012 11:24 AM

I just watched a little of Suvivor to see who won. Had to watch Harry's law and The Killing and was ticked that surv, took off The Good Wife..

I seldom watch AGT. They go from bad to worse with judges for that show. Howard Stern makes me :vomit2:

doydie 05-15-2012 11:16 PM

Well I caved in and watched AGT. I wanted to see the show but without seeing Howard Stern. He wasn't to bad, Sharon had to keep a watch on him at times. I think he is kind of fake. On several occasions he said that he didn't like something, fast forwarded through the dance, etc. But then he would sya that they made a believer out of him. That group tonight that did the painting was outstanding.

I didn't watch DWTS because I was watching NBC all night so I didn't catch the results show but I read on the news here that Derek and his girl were voted off. Now that was a shocker to me. I really thought he could have been the winner. I think he is the best choreographer on the show. So I read that next season will be previous years competitors

One of the shows I ahve been watching mainly because I thought it would be like Project Runway is Fashion Star. It had the finale tonight and I got the winner right on that one.The girl was just getting bids for her clothing each week although on the first night I don't think anyone would have believed she would end up winning the 6 million prize.

SallyC 05-17-2012 07:01 PM

Well the judges set it up so Joshua would win. Maybe he should, but I hate when they do that. Lets see what the fans say, on AI

I don't think it should have been Derick and his partner out but the fans did.;) The hot hot hot guys gonna win, right, on DWTS?

SallyC 05-17-2012 08:00 PM

Welllllll, the Fans spoke!!!!!

doydie 05-17-2012 11:16 PM

You are so right Sally. On both shows, the fans showed their vote. Since I can't stand Phillips facial expressions, I guess I will go with Jessica. But whether she wins or not her life is changed forever. From going form a home schooled 15 year old to a mega star in a few short months, she will be changed. I just hope she is equipped to deal with it.

doydie 05-21-2012 11:26 PM

Well I like Arsenio Hall as a winner of Apprentice. i would have liked Clay also. They both did a good job of the final tasks, the show showed Lisa and Audrey what they are really like. Lisa didn't care and I'm not sure how Audrey took it.

DWTS was wonderful tonight. Was so glad to see the football guy finally get his 30. I have no particular favorite although it is nice to know that the football guys professional was the first one out last year and this year in the finals. I enjoyed hearing the one lady sing. It will all be over tomorrow night.

AI finishes its run this week also. I'm not excited about either one but I watch because it is there. I am wondering who the big names will be that they will have singing with them.

I noticed Love in the wild actually got a second season. I don't know how shows like that can get a second season and then shows like Awake and Harrys Law get cancelled. But I'm not the one who makes the rules. That's what we used to tell our kids, that we were the boss and they don't make the rules!

KittyLady 05-22-2012 08:54 PM

Im glad Arsenio won. I was pulling for him. I really hope Donald wins DWTS tonight. Will see in about an hour! Really wish they wouldnt drag out the last night for 2 hours!

Sparky10 05-22-2012 10:45 PM

From the 1st week I was hoping Kathryn would win DWTS. But when a sports figure contestant can actually dance the fan vote often trumps talent.

There hasn't been a female winner since Erin Grey in the Fall season of 2010. Next season (this Fall) will be a return of stars that fans vote to see again.

doydie 05-22-2012 11:05 PM

I was planning on watching it tomorrow. But when I was surfing the web, one of the AP sites told me the winner :( I will enjoy watching it anyway just to see the other contestants.

I actually enjoyed AI tonight. I think down deep Jessica is a scared little girl. She is home schooled, she didn't have a lot of remarks onstage and not a lot of smiling.

I also watched AGT. Howard Stern is a nasty old man. Some of the acts they put through were deplorable. Who wants to see four male strippers or an act where the whole thing is to see how many times and how hard you can kick, hit, pound on a mans privates. My TV info for the show says it is for ages 9+ yet they have a 7 year old little boy performing.

SallyC 05-22-2012 11:14 PM

I got so bored with DWTS long drawn out finali, I missed who won. I was suprised though..

It really doesn't matter who wins AI. they should have called it a triple way tie last week.:)

SallyC 05-23-2012 10:27 PM

I did not like the way it ended and the lack of showmanship of Phil. He fell completely apart. Poor guy. Butttttttttt, Congrats!!!!

doydie 05-23-2012 11:18 PM

Sally I'm not sure if it was lack of showmanship or just total emotion. He went from a pawn shop worker to the American Idol. I think he will do OK. I'm not sure if I had put this on this thread or not but I read somewhere that ever since they changed the rules that you could play your own instrument that it has always been WGWG to win. WGWG means white guy with guitar.

We didn't get home in time to watch the beginning so I didn't catch all the acts. I'm not sure why they had Neil Diamond on. He is one of my favorite singers but I am 62. I enjoyed the tribute the the Bee Gees but he just died a couple of days ago. How did they not he was going to do that? It was to old for them. My favorite part was when they 'sang the phone book'.

doydie 05-23-2012 11:20 PM

So we have had finales for American Idol. Amazing Race, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, what else? What do we have left? Americas got talent and So you think you can dance

ABC has an answer to Big Brother, the Glass house. ABC is getting sued over it I think.

Interesting, when are they on and why the suit? Thanks.

mochagirl13 05-24-2012 11:35 AM

Don't forget the new Bachelorette started. I haven't watched it yet. It's comedy to me. I guess I'll turn to it when I need a good WTF moment.

I don't know where they are on it but the why is because they said it's such a replica of Big Brother.

doydie 05-24-2012 01:37 PM

I don't like the Bachelorette, The Bacherlor and Love in the wild because they are switching partners every episode. Every day they are making out with a different man or woman. That's just not right for me.

That just amazes me. In the real world we would have many unkind things to say about the women and men. Whatever happened to 1 man/1woman. I couldn't do a group date.

doydie 05-24-2012 11:17 PM

SYTYCD auditions started tonight. Some of them were breathtaking and some were good in the style that they were it's just that I don't like that style. I really enjoyed the older woman that decided that at 28 she wasn't getting any younger and her husband encouraged her to get back into dancing. They had her little 2 year old come up on the stage and dance. You can tell she had really been watching her Mom. Then they had the guy who wanted to get on the show so that he could realize his career while his Mom could still see. Nygle Lythgoe had his Mom come and sit in his seat so she could watch.

I'm a little fuzzy here but I hope you don't consider 28 as an older woman. How much older could she be with a 2 year old daughter? I liked the guy from Philly. He didn't really look all that strong but those strength and balance moves were impressive.

I'm not saying that 28 is older. But for the auditioneers of SYTYCD, 28 is older. No, I am 62 and sometimes I don't feel like I am older.

ginnie 05-25-2012 01:53 PM

about SYTYCD

I loved seeing all the dancers. I too was in tears watching some of them express their emotions through movement. Even the young man who has a disability. I had to respect him giving it his all. Loved the mama with the two year old in the tutu. What a cool show, and such beautiful dance! ginnie

doydie 05-29-2012 11:28 PM

Well auditions are going well on AGT, SYTYCD is in audition phase and now one of my favorite shows started tonight Design Star!!!!! I will watch anything on HGTV. You always feel so sorry for the first one to go.

SallyC 06-04-2012 09:50 PM

Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef premiered tonight. HK was the usual beep beep predictable.:D MC was excellent and has some great cooks, including a blind woman, who will be continuing next week.

KittyLady 06-04-2012 10:15 PM

Sally, I agree. Hells Kitchen looks like its filled with a bunch of whiner babies!

doydie 06-05-2012 11:27 PM

Just read that the awesome stuttering guitar singer on last nights AGT didn't have an injury in the service.

doydie 06-24-2012 10:28 PM

I am ready for these shows to start!!!!!!!! We have had so many auditions for these shows and I want them to start!!!!!!!!!!

So what is everyone watching that I'm not. Anyone watching the controversial Glass house? I saw where Big Brother will be starting soon. Nothing will take the place of Amazing Race and Survivor though.

SallyC 06-25-2012 12:55 PM

Has Glass House started? It looks like Evil Kneivel is back on Big Brother....againnnnnnnnn.
