Default booked my next trip!

I have decided that blind or not, MS or not, I AM going to get out of here! With my family fueding, and my disease raging, my choices have been to sit here and whine, or do things so locally that I can drive to it and back home, and that just didnt feel fun. JAck the cat has not been the easiest hurdle to jump either, so we have been tethered to this house! I WANT OUT!

We took a trip to Newport. Had a blast!
We took a trip to the Casino. ICK! we learned our lesson.
I just booked a new trip to Stowe VT.

http://escapes.livingsocial.com/deal...ic-vermont-inn

If you want to see the details.

It includes 2 tickets to see the Ben and Jerry's factory.
2 tickets to see the Cabot Cheese factory
The visitors center.
numerous beautifully groomed bike trails (can take my trike!)
it has breakfast for 2 each morning, and appitizers at the local tavern each night.
There are some shops near by so I can look around.

Its close to home, so if Jack gets sick we can always come back. its very close to my big girl hospital so if I am not well, we can zip into their space, and its close enough to home that we dont have to fly, but far enough away that I dont feel like I am camping in my back yard. its a really good price, actually its HALF price! so...I will take it! I confirmed it today for the 26th, 27th of July and coming home on the 28th! Wahoo I am going to get out of here.

I am working hard to turn my life around from where it was just 3 years ago. I was so sick taking those shots everyday and feeling miserable, dealing with a family that drained every extra penny I had. This time my money is going to be spent on ME! HAHA!

ok, there is room in my suitcase for one or two, who wants to go?

It looks beautiful. I keep saying I want to live in Vermont.....till I see pictures of it during winter......then I want to stay here. Right now, I'd love to be in Vermont. I can't imagine temps in the 60's during June.

Kelly, you need to be a snowbird! Winters in Georgia; spring, summer and fall in Vermont!

most of our town are snow birds. They leave Oct 1 and come back around April 1. They miss all the heavy, blowing, suffocating snow. It can be quite beautiful, and can be so amazing, and you know I love it when the town empties out, and they leave us to ourselves. no lines at the stores, no wait for a close up parking spot, no waiting at restaurants, just zip in, and zip out. There are benefits to going against the main stream, but I gotta admit sun sounds great when January turns it ugly head and our bones are cracking from lack of Vit D.
