There weren't supposed to be here until monday when dh2b is off. I was planning on not being here for it. But, they decided to come today instead to drop DD13 and the rest of her stuff.

This means I have spent all day cleaning my house, which is fine, it needed it. I just really don't want to deal with his parents today. I have not seen them since I heard all of the BS they have been telling my 13 yr old about me. Half of which is DH2Bs fault, as they have no clue what really happened here 8 months ago.

His mother does not like me, thinks I am using her son (I guess for his fortune he makes selling mattresses??) , and now I am using DD to keep him. This was a very long talk that I had with DD. She was not supposed to say anything to me about all of this. Which of course lead to me telling DD the whole story of what happened, and then helping her to deal with her own emotions about it.

This fight he and I had, along with any other argument we have is not something we ever discuss with our children. This is the thing with he and I, we believe kids should be kids and worry about kid stuff and grown ups should worry about grown up stuff.

So I am angry with his mother. I have every right to be angry with his mother over all of this. If you don't like me, that is fine. You can tell your husband, you can tell your son who I have been dating for 4 years or you can grow a pair and tell me. You do not, however under any circumstances, have the right to talk trash about me to a 13 yr old child. Especially since I am the closest thing this kid has ever had to a mother.

His mother smiles in my face, hugs me as soon as she sees me and hugs me as she is leaving. Tells me how great my meals are, compliments me, and goes out of her way to be nice to my face. I HATE people like this.

His father, I have no problem with.

But I have a MAJOR problem. I am a brutally honest person who does not believe in beating around the bush and I don't pretend to like you if I don't. If I have a problem with you or your actions, I will tell you to your face and not go behind your back and tell everyone else. DH2B and DD are BEGGING me to play nice, which I will do for their sakes, but I am SO NOT IN THE MOOD!!!

breathe! just breathe! Remember that MIL is coming from a place of ignorance, and she is in bliss to remain there. The only thing she knows about you is what her son has told her, and thats not fair. IF she has the courage to confront you, I would let her know that not everything, everyone says is true, and that the next time she has an issue with you, please bring it TO you and not AT you.

LAter, use this as a teaching experience with the DD13 who needs to know that this is what happens when folks run off with only tidbits of what they believe is the whole story, and you hope she does better with her future.

You are bigger, better, and kinder than this woman could ever be. Simply kill her with kindness for the time she is in your home, and keep telling yourself that she IS leaving soon. She WONT be staying forever, and this too shall pass.

Yeah we got a whole bedroom operation going over here. LOL.

I can't wait to see the look on moms face when I write the check, out of MY account to his dad for the money he borrowed to fix his truck when he was in KY. because you know, I am using her son. yeah, ok.

They will be here in less than an hour. Hopefully they will be out of here not much longer than that. He doesn't get off until 8, but I am not in the mood to socialize with these people. I am going to thank them for letting DD stay an extra couple of weeks so she could say goodbye to her friends and thank them for bringing her.

I was told not to cook for them this time, they will stop on the way for food. Which is another slap in the face and his mom knows it. I feed anyone who comes to my house and up until I heard about all of this, I really looked forward to big family dinners.

But whatever the potroast is in the slow cooker, and I am about to go peel some potatoes so I can make some garlic mashed taters for my kid.

Oh, on a side note.... papa johns garlic sauce in mashed potatoes is AWESOME!!

I love mashed potatoes. I love garlic. I really love garlic mashed potatoes!

Now I'm hungry for mashed potatoes and it's 330am.

It's a long time till morning when I can get up and beg my dad to make garlic mashed potatoes and something else (maybe pork chops?) to go with for dinner tomorrow.
