Even tho I just got the Kobo, I still think the Kindle is the best e-reader.

The Kobo is a nice entry level e-reader, and if you can get one cheap like I did, it'd probably make a great first e-reader, but Kindles are getting cheaper also.

Kindles should be getting library access soon. Not sure when, but they're supposed to be getting it. If you're a library book borrower, the Kobo might be the one to get now. But, it doesnt seem that the Kobo bookstore has that much selection in books to buy, so if you like having a huge selection of books to buy, the Kindle might be the way to go.

Or you can be like me and just collect e-readers.

Someday I want to be as smart as my iPhone. It's the original 3g, in other words, an oldie but goodie. I'm still learning it's features amost 2 years later. I'd never be able to figure out the things Erin "collects"! I do have the free Kindel app on it and download free books.

Erin, you could put the app reader for all those different e-readers on your Ipad...then you wouldn't need more of the gadgets!

I have the apps for Kindle, Kobo and the I-book on my I-pod. I mostly read the free books from each. It's great for reading while I'm waiting in lines or at doctor appts... But I really want to get the Nook Color for magazines.

I put the apps for the Kobo and the Nook (even tho I dont have a Nook) on my iPad, and then promptly removed them. Didnt care for them.

I do have the Kindle app on my iPad, and the iBooks app (Apple's own reader program) but I've only used the iBooks app once, for a crochet pattern I downloaded. The Kindle app is the only reading app that I use on the iPad or my iPod Touch. I'm apparently very loyal to the Kindle app.

I finished reading my library books on my Kobo already, and found another one. I like the library access that the Kobo has. The Kobo seems to hurt my hands tho. The page turn button is in the bottom right hand corner on the Kobo. Kind of uncomfortable to hold. The Kindles that I have both have "next page" buttons on either side of the Kindle screen. Which I like. More comfy to hold.

At least the Kindle and the Kobo are lighter than my iPad. I only read on my iPad when it's sitting in the charging cradle and I'm crocheting or knitting. (easier to turn the pages with one finger swipe when I'm knitting or crocheting.

I love my Kindle. I only have use of one hand, I can hold it, turn the page and it never bothers me. I love my Kindle. Nothing else would be so right for me. Needs differ, Kindle does it for me.

Our Kindles are very loved, arent they?

This reminds me that I need to show my Kindles that I love them by plugging them in to charge. It's been a few weeks since they've been fed. (love that long battery life!)
