I was talking to a friend yesterday about the in law visit and bumming around the house when the lightbulb clicked over my head and I figured it out!
I now know why I don't come equipped with a filter, why I don't pretend to like people that I don't and why I don't beat around the bush and I am blatently honest about things. Pretending to be something you are not, covering up your true self is down right exhausting. It is easier and less emotionally draining to just say what you think and move on. After the in law visit saturday I spent all day yesterday drained of energy. It was like someone drained the life force out of me. I had no energy, and wanted to do nothing. And I really think that is why. I spent 3 hours being nice to people I don't like and biting my tongue and playing nice and it took more energy than cleaning the house and doing 4 loads of laundry. Lesson learned.
