This is the movie that led me to juice. Juicing changed my life! I swear I had NO idea how malnurouished I was. I had no idea how tired I was, nor how much energy this stuff would give me.

PLEASE if you have the chance, watch this movie!

And good going to the film maker who changed his life and turned things around. You see him doing things in the trailer like exercising and eating whole fruits. I'm sure those activities - as well as his level of committment to change - contributed to his success as well.

I think the American diet definitely needs a reboot but I'm hoping it won't require everyone to start liquifying their food. Good, healthy foods are pretty tantalizing when you consider their individual color, shape and texture but like I said, whatever works, I guess. This next generation has a life expecctancy that's less than that of their parents so we gotta do something.

What he shows in the film is how many vegetables, and peices of fruit fit in this rather sizeable basket, and makes the statement that to eat that many peices in one sitting would be quite difficult, even for a champion eater, but when you liquify it, and turn it into juice, that you get the micronutrients from all that yummy food that will detox your blood, your liver and your habits. You will detox off of sugar, fat, milk, dairy, eggs, nuts, caffeine and so on.

He highly reccomends that you follow up with your MD and only reccomends this for a max of 10 days for the average person, and longer if your MD agrees that your condition is so severe that you need a larger reboot.

I was impressed once I was done with my 5 days that I no longer craved bread. I no longer craved sugar, and my caffeine headache was gone, and I no longer got shaky and irritable if I didnt have my tea in the AM. My skin was clearer, my tummy lost its bloat, and I felt TONS better. not just a tiny bit, I felt TONS better.

THen after a reboot, he reccomends staying on a healthy vegetarian style diet with fresh foods, eating as many as you can raw, uncooked as once you apply heat, you start to destroy the nutrients in the food. So, once you watch the whole movie you will see that he isnt advocating that we all run around with a cup of juice for the rest of our days. Its just a way to "reboot" your digestive system and your taste buds away from the highly fatted, highly salted diet most of us have become used to.

It really did help me so much. I was shocked at how drastic the results were for me.

agreed. it is fantastic way to get mega nutrients over a short period. I think the bigger issue here is that so many people over eat and are under nourished.
It is just one man's story toward health and away from the big food/big pharm hook.

Big pharm has a place and I am grateful for it, but its not a substitute for good nutrition.

Dej- as a side note, my hubby sprinkled a bit of ceylon cinnamon in the last round of my green drink. OMG it was good. just fyi!

I completely agree with that statement and it's true, the average American has dreadful eating habits. I've been eating whole foods and mostly vegetarian for my entire adult life so I don't need a reboot but, for those who do, sounds like this is a decent plan to get back on track.
