Default Well Christmas is finally over!

I am tired! I didn't do much, the younger set takes care of us now. But I guess the adrenalin rush of getting the house ready (or semi ready) and then the big event. When it's over the adrenalin is gone. So the grand kids are asleep, the big kids are out to a movie. Meeting the newest baby in the family was wonderful. She is extremely well adjusted happy kid. Knows no stranger, loves to laugh and talk as 6 month old little girls talk. This was going to be a difficult Christmas with Mom gone but this little girl brought so much light into our lives. Her Mom didn't mind the livelyness that our family has a Christmas.

Some of the family will be here again tomorrow for leftovers, I think it is still 18 of us so I have let them know if you want lunch at 12:30 get here at 11:30!

The cat is really tired of being locked up in the office but it's her fault. So all of Monday I will recoup!

Doydie,

SO and I took MIL-in-waiting Chinese takeout and pumpkin pie last night. We had a pleasant time and were happy to get home and off the roads by 10 PM.

Sunday is her usual day to shop so SO is driving her around and I have a precious window of time to myself. Just lazing around w the cats! And I don't feel guilty one bit!

Hi Sally!

ANN

Well there were only 18 people here today! There is still one family left but they are staying with my daughter and they will be over tomorrow to tell us goodby and let us play with the baby some more. It's hard on me physically but it is harder on my husband emotionally. He just doesn't trust all the people here. There are two new people here this time and he just doens't trust them.

18 PEOPLE!!!!! I hope you don't take this on next year or I'll think that you are a glutton for punishment.

I am officially calling the holiday over for everyone.. Take a nap Doydie.

Only 3 more people to go home But they are the young folk and they are staying at my daughters house. They will come over tomorrow and say goodby. They have hate most precious baby girl I have met in a long time. this young man is bipolar, well the SO is also. He is my nephew and has been kicked out of his home so many times I can't remember. I have always kept up a good relationship with him. He is one of those people who will bare thier soul to you and tell you things you really don't wnat to hear about them but they just blurt it out. And I give him advice. His SO, live in was also kicked out of her house. Drugs was more important to her mother. When she found out that her daughter was pregnant she actually tried to beat the baby out. So she turned to her only friend, my nephew. The baby isn't his, he knows it but still claims it as his just because he loves her. So they stayed with my daughter. She wasn't quite prepared for them to stay the night. His parents left today. So the 5th dishwasher load is done, floor vacuumed. After Mom died siblings had to leave at different times so we still had things of Moms that we didn't want to make a decision about so they went to my house. They were surprised yesterday after our Christmas celebration was over that I went and got these three boxes. But it was kind of fun to do this moneyless auction. There are still things that no-one wants. It makes me feel bad. i don't want to throw them away but yet I don't want them.

So I guess Tuesday is the day I will let myself sleep for about 18 hours.

Well my husband woke me up at 3 PM asking me if I was going to sleep all day! He knows that I am lucky if I wake up by 5. So of course I couldn't go back to sleep very well. I got up at 4 and was kind of out of it until about 8 PM. I just hope I can sleep well tonight.
