Default Nate Berkus show disabled friendly house

Anyone watching this? I'm looking forward to seeing what all they put into it. Might get some good ideas and in any event I'm sure it will be beautiful.

OK, I probably missed the show but what show was he on or is it his own show?

Wait, I found a video of today's reveal. Is this the one you are talking about? Either way, that kitchen is so cool!!!! I love the moving cabinet. What a great idea!

He was one of Oprah's croonies who did interior design projects that now has his own show. He's actually a cutie and did a project of building a new home for a woman and her family who lost her hands and legs.

It was very nice but I'm not sure the moving cabinets would be financially feasible for most budgets. I'd probably just stack stuff lower.

Wow... I read the title of the thread wrong.

I thought it was about Nate Berkus showing a disabled house that was friendly...

Man, is my brain whacked out...

That was my laugh for the day. I should go back to sleep because I don't think anything is going to top that. What kind of dog is that in your avatar?

True. But it was a really cool and innovative idea. I never would have thought of that. I'd stack things lower too. Plus, if I did have them, it would be my luck that I'd be cooking and there would be some sort of mechanical/electrical issue and the cabinet would get stuck 1/2 down.

I just watched the video. I know that with electronics anything can be accomplished but I had never seen cabinets that are on the wall then you push a button and they come down to you. I just want some day to have a stair lift. I don't need it now but maybe some day and two of my family members do need it now, a sister and sister in law. And the sister in law is only here once a year! So I don't think I can even ask about insurance payment.

He's a goldendoodle-part golden retriever and part poodle.

His mom was a goldendoodle and his dad was a standard poodle. He resembles his mom alot, and sniffs around and plays like our old goldens used to-without shedding!!
