I never had the luck of being stalked by "cute useless men". My real life stalker is a freakishly ugly guy who probably still lives with his mother (he'd be pushing 45 by now) and his nickname is "Andre the giant". (only because he's big and ugly, he lacks the sweetness and personality of the real Andre The Giant)
Of course, he's a useless tool. He was originally my sister's stalker, and latched onto stalking me because when I was 11yrs old, I didnt know you could hang up on people who were creepy. I'd been taught to be polite to people. Took me awhile to learn how to deal with a stalker. (call police, or ask mall security who had handguns to escort you to your car) Andre once walked into my house uninvited when I was probably about 14 or 15yrs old. (he's been stalking me for quite awhile) I was watching tv and he just walked in to my house. I didnt know how to get him out, so I kept my very protective and unsocialized poodle that snapped at strangers on my lap until my dad got home. Soon as my dad got home, I told Andre I had to talk to my dad for a second, and left the room, told my dad Andre wouldnt leave and that I never invited him in, he just walked in. My dad went and started talking to Andre, and Andre started to follow my dad thru the house as my dad talked. My dad walked to the front door, opened it for Andre like he was about to go outside while still talking, and when Andre walked thru the door, my dad slammed it and locked it, locking Andre outside. (love my dad!) My dad was into Judo, and was a volunteer instructor, and I'm sure my dad could have kicked Andre's butt, but, I love how my dad chose the subtle, "your visit is now over" approach. (one of my dad's Judo instructor's lessons was "never get yourself into situations where you have to use your Judo skills to get out of it".) Good thing Andre is a big guy and extremely recognizable from a distance. I can usually spot him before he sees me, and leave. He did ambush me at work once when I was in my mid 20s (worked in a McD's) and sat outside in his car waiting for me once for two hours because I refused to wait on him. (none of the other people I worked with him would wait on him either. Kind of ticked him off when my manager kicked him out) My dad to the rescue again. My dad came down with a friend of mine to drive me home, my friend drove my car home. One good thing about the MS, is that I dont go to Star Trek/comic book conventions anymore. (he might not either now, saw him get kicked out of more than one convention for being a creepy jerk. He might have been banned) Less chance of running into Andre now. Now I think I would just smack him in the knees with my cane and then try to hobble away quickly if I saw him. Quote:
