Also we are going to Petco today to investigate both Wellness
canned and Wilderness canned for our cats.

Houdini will be getting "THE OPERATION" soon, and I worry about his urinary future! (we've avoided males for this reason until now).

Our cats only eat about 1/3 their diet canned. They get human cooked protein foods often, chicken, turkey, salmon, tuna, shrimp with taurine added. They all dislike beef. They will sometimes accept pork however. Weez loves Bacon, but we don't have it much anymore.

They eat Wilderness grain free kibble with gusto. Oreo less so.
So we will experiment with the quality canned and see if they accept them. We never had luck with IAMs canned in the past.

Sheba used to like raw chicken. Whenever I made chicken I had to give her some.

Since we switched to Wilderness 2 large bags ago, Weez has lost a bit of her weight she piled on when Houdini arrived. Cats tend to revenge eat when a new member comes to the house, I guess afraid there will be less food. So now she is a little less porky. The sustained exercise Houdini provides, is also helping. LOL...

I am not ready for jumping on the raw food bandwagon quite yet.

MrsD, my cats love the Wellness brand canned food. Won't touch the dry. In fact, the Healthy Weight dry food I bought for them.....the outdoor kitties won't eat it, either! Spoiled babies...................

Wellness canned chicken and turkey are their favorites. Wilderness canned turkey, chicken and duck are also favorites. They won't eat any seafood canned food of either brand.

It's a little more expensive but avoiding the vet and other complications makes it worth it. I'd rather spend it now than at the vet later.

We found large cans of Wellness on sale at Petco.

Also they have a Friskies "special diet" which is only rice...but no other grains. Those were .59.

We bought some Blue Buffalo spa, and the Wellness, to try.
They had the Wilderness kibble on sale too, and we signed up for a Pals card 5% discount every $100.

All our cats love tuna and salmon. I give tuna in oil once a week for Oreo. Today they got scraps off a rotissierrie chicken from Costco. I gave Oreo a huge plate and she ate it ALL up. Oreo gets extra food compared to the other two. The wet food is only 10-11% protein, and the Wilderness kibble is 40% protein. Big difference.

Must be the weather, but we came home from church to find Jack hiding. This usually means he is in pain, or doesnt feel good. We cannot give him the big boy pain med as DH gave him the anxiety med today, and you cant give both in a 24 hour period. So, we gave him extra arnica, and tons of love, along with a comfy place to nap. He allowed me to massage his back, and neck and that seemed to relax him a bit. He went on the tree house for a few minutes, but came back out in favor of a hiding spot. We have noticed bad weather was a pain trigger in the past.

He has been using the litter box about 3 or 4 times a day now instead of holding it for 48 hours or waiting till he is going to burst. So, we have a baby set back, but we can and will survive this. He can have arnica and the big nerve pain med on the same day, just not the anxiety (aconite) and the big pain med (hypericum) in the same 24 hour period. If push came to shove, I have big boy injections of the western meds in the fridge, and I am allowed to mix them, but I would prefer to get him off the narcotics and just allow him a space to rest. I think he has been so sick for so long, and has spent a lot of energy in the last few days with being out and about. it will do him good to rest.

Lets see what tomorrow brings.

We also give him cosequene, and a life mix (dont know whats in it) mixed into his food. The new vet said it has pro biotics, omegas, vitamins, and other junk. He said it wouldnt matter what we fed him as long as we mixed that stuff in there. Jack has decided ENOUGH with the raw diet, and has refused it all day. I broke down and gave him some wellness which he loves. I have to get some sort of dry food to use as treats. maybe I will go to petco before my sons in store discount expires. He got a new job!

So, im off to cuddle on Jack, who is asleep. You can tell he is not his best, but he is also not his worst. I will take it!

here is a link to the machine that got used on Jack

http://www.myspace.com/video/3183619...video/31313387

He seems lethargic today, but doesnt appear to be in pain. Going to let him have the day to rest and heal. My own back is screaming mad, so his must be as well.

its going to be a lazy look at the squirrels kinda day. He can have the big boy pain meds today if I feel he needs them, but so far arnica looks like its holding him well.

Jack's probably tired from being so active and just feeling better. I get the same way when I have a good day. I know the next couple of days following will be "down days" (meaning rest & sleep) because of all the energy I used feeling so good! I know it comes at a cost.....but it's worth it to me to have a few good days each month.

Default Hi Dejibo

I watched with great interest the vidio of Biocam. I am also a physics nerd, and read as much about science as I can. The vidio is correct, we are composted of energy or protons. Energy never dies, but transforms into something else. The cutting edge of science is always reaching to understand the elements we are composed of. The super collider is always looking for that miracle particle that will explain how energy works.
I have also read many times over, that the more claims there are that a product works for multipal conditions, the more research in science should be devoted to gather scientific proof of whether a new technology works or not. This is new Technology, no question about that. The claims are extraordinary. I don't know if this will work, but I know it won't hurt Jack, based on what I know about physics. We don't even really understand particles and energy. We do know however some about the second law of thermodymanics, we go from an ordererd state of existance into disorder. The whole universe works that way. Disease and aging has something to do with this principal. It would indeed be a great advancement in healing, if we were able to disrupt and restore our energy. If this device really works, and is proven to do so, there is not one person on this site that wouldn't rush to receive this therapy! I sure pray for Jack and your family. I hope that this new science has something of benefit to help your companion. ginnie
