Default Why would they put sucrolose in biscuits?

DH has been on food duty since I went blind, and while he is doing a great job, he is starting to get lazy. He got some biscuits that come in a can, and while they were a nice lazy treat, I noticed that similar headache. I asked him to check the package, and sure enough, there it was! sugar AND sucrolose!

WHY???? I mean, pick a lane! either use sugar OR sucrolose, dont use both! UGH! the headache that I get from splenda, and aspertame simply isnt worth it.

Have you found surprising items in your prepackaged foods? When I was the cook it was ALL scratch, home made, but I cant complain too loudly when DH is doing all the cooking and not whining about it. Any other surprises I should wonder about?
