Just wondering...am I the only one who reads the posts, opens up a "new thread" or "reply" window, sits and stares at the screen for a while, then walks away because I can't pull together what I want to say or don't have the energy to say it?

You're not alone....I do it all the time. That or either I don't post what I've already written because after reading it over I don't think it's helpful....or interesting.

Sometimes I think: I've already asked this question. Or made this comment. Or told this story.

But I don't have the energy to go searching to see if I really did already say it. So I delete it from the screen, and it deletes itself from my brain.

There are times I don't feel like posting and then there are times I make myself post, because there are folks who come here to be understood, supported and validated. Most of the time I'm happy to respond or start a thread.

If I don't have anything helpful or am just too tired to post, I hit the Thank You tab. That's my way of saying....I read and understood youR post and I agree, but I'm too tired to type it.

Sometimes I think, "I hope someone else helps this person because I just don't have the energy."

Or, I know the answer to the question but putting it into readable words is not possible.

I remember when I first came here not so long ago. I try to answer no matter what my problems are. Many who come here are in such distress that making the effort makes me feel better. I was very lost and frightened when I joined. My problems are small compared to what others suffer. I appreciate all of the people who come here and count my blessings that I found this site. Mabe it is just trying to give back the hope that was given to me. I care about all of you. ginnie

Sometimes I just push the Thanks button to show support (Is that why it's there?) Today I push it for Sally.

Same here. I sometimes compose a response, and get half way there, and cant pull my thoughts together well enough to either be helpful or not come across as whining myself. so...I will leave the screen blinking and in the end hit "thanks" as a show of support and if nothing else, the poster knows someone read their work.
