Default How Often Do You Change Your Sheets?

Okay, B2Y's post about washing her bed linens made me think. How often do folks change their sheets? Be honest.....nobody will know how you voted.

I chose "as needed". I used to change them every week--what a luxury it seems now! These days it depends on 1) how I'm feeling, 2) how warm the weather's been and 3) if I sleep in the bed at all. I usually sleep in the recliner, and Mr. B isn't as fussy about "fresh" sheets. He takes a shower in the evening, so it isn't as if they get very dirty. It probably averages every 2-3 weeks in the summer, 3-4 in the winter. So be it. I do change the pillowcases in between.

I just ordered a new set of sheets from Target. I ordered a cheap set a while back, and they are certainly cheap. They crackle like celophane and they don't fit the mattress well. We have a nice set of flannel sheets, and now would like a nice set of summer sheets. I say "nice"...they're probably "fair". I never thought I'd spend $70 for a set of sheets. My my.

I just saw something in an AARP mag about this. They said 1 a week. Said all kinds of stuff can live in the material. Dust mites was one. Yuck!!!

The last set of sheets I bought was from Target, $60. They are a cotton/bamboo blend. I've had them several years, they have held up well. I was surprised.

Twice a year whether they need it or not. But seriously, I do the housework and DH does little to none so I do things as my spare and limited energy allows.

You mean I hafta change the sheets? I hardly ever wet the bed.

I sleep on the sofa and I change the coverlet/comforter every week. The beds are all made up for company. I only change it when or if I have a stay over. Not so much anymore.

Sheets? I don't use them! I sleep on top of the comforter with a fuzzy fleece blanket or two. I wash the blankets and the pillowcase weekly. The comforter is 100% cotton and I wash it every six weeks. I have 4 different ones that I swap out several times a year. I can't stand how confining sheets are on my feet and legs.

Weekly... in fact, I can't remember there ever being at time that I didn't change mine at least once during the week. Fresh sheets are such a treat! I love the way they feel on my clean body after an evening shower.

Once a week. If its laundry day and I cant do it, DH will roll up his sleeves and strip the bed and ask if I want him to put clean sheets on it. What a guy!

I love fresh sheets, and since I spend so much time laying down, im not sure i want to go past a week.
