Confused hi all

I just joined. Figured I could use a little extra support. Been sick with nuro symptoms for a while now that are getting worse. I was a reg. Nurse and I suspect possible ms, but can't find a Dr . Around here who knows what they are doing...lol. I am looking for a great ms specialist in Alabama. I am a difficult case, because I have a cyst in my spinal cord at my neck, with a small herniation above that. ( they all say that is not the cause of my problems, then just found that I have a lower back scoliosis. Brain MRIs so far negative...can't feet my primary md to do full spinal. No csf tested. But my spine hurts from top to bottom, not to mention allmy body. Bad balance, forgetfulness, short term memory loss, tremors, blurry vision at times. And gray floating spots. Weakness, tingling in arms to my hands, no reflex in one of my feet at the ankle, the Liszt goes on.

if any of you know of a doctor in Alabama would love to hear about him/her.

Thanks.

I don't know of Any doctor in Alabama but just wanted to say welcome and hope you get it resolved. I know there are websites that lists doctors in areas and they may even have the doctors rated either by AMA or by patients themsleves

Thanks, It has been rough. I have been searching sites and viewing ratings. We don't have one MS specialist here in my local area. What neurologist we do have I wouldn't take my dog to see. Having been a nurse, I have worked hospitial, hospice, and also home health. I have been told all the worst and best about the run of the mill neuros. around here. Having been a nurse means I am the worst pt. EVER!!! I . After searching site after site with either no written reviews or only 2-3. I decided I needed a way to ask around to pt. & find out what a Dr. Is really like. I went 4 hours to Birmingham to see a doc. Specialist in neuro. Movement disorders who was rated 100% on a few sites. It was the most awful exrience.

Hi Junglequeen and welcome to NeuroTalk.
I'm just next door in Georgia. I'm so sorry you're having a difficult time of things right now. Keep coming here and reading. And ask questions any time. There's a lot of really smart folks here. And experienced......and no one wants to be experienced at MS.......but they're here and willing to share.

Looking forward to getting to know you! Welcome to the group!

Dr. Bashir in Birmingham AL is WONDERFUL! I hope you give his office a call.

Its horrible to be sick and have no one who can help you figure it out.

Feel better.

Welcome, junglequeen! Ever been to the hot air balloon festival in Dothan? I haven't but a balloon pilot I crewed for in Mississippi lives in Orange Beach and he flies in it. I love hot air ballooning!

Watch out for Issac!
