The phone I have is 5 years old and only needs a recharge every 4 days; although it is "ON" 24/7. The one before it lasted 6 years before it failed to survive a wash, rince and spin cycle .

With love, Erika

I'm impressed when a cellphone lasts as long as a decade.

Every smart phone I've had (three so far) has died right about the time the contract comes up for renewal. Which makes me wonder if there's some sort of "kill file" inside the phone that makes the phone quit working right when it's time for contract renewal so that I'll be forced to go buy a new phone.

With the speed of new developments in technology, you sort of have to keep upgrading if you want to stay up to date anyway, don't you Erin?

People like me just use the phone for urgent things so the old kind works just fine.

At least they make it fun to update.

I'm having fun with the cameras on both the ipad and the iPhone.

Hopefully the optic neuritis that I have right now won't ruin my fun of playing with the cameras. At least the iPads make doing stuff on the Internet a little easier for me. At least in my opinion. Plus it gives me something to focus on when a flare is especially annoying. Makes a nice distraction.

I really like the photo booth on the ipad mini. You can make some beautiful pictures and you would never know the original source. My DGD6 made some wonderful pictures of her eye that could be hung in any art gallery, and of her hair swirling. Well I may be stretching it a bit but they are nice.

photobooth is fun!

Did you know you can take a picture of what's on your screen, basically a screencapture? If you press the power button, and the home button at the same time, it'll screencapture what's currently on your screen. It's great when you want a shot of something on that's on video.

That way you can screencapture pictures of people that you're Skyping with.

still using my 6+ year old cellphone (calls and some minor texting using the 0-9 keys).

About to get a smartphone, but have decided to wait until new version comes out (September??) . Then I can either upgrade to newest one or buy the iphone 5 for a cheaper price.

only reason I am upgrading is that it is getting harder to do work without access to my email all the time.

Heck - I still lug around an ancient, heavy laptop I bought over ten+ years ago I am one of those who uses something until it is no longer fixable - *will admit I LOVE the DVR cox box to tape our shows, best thing I have done since getting a microwave!
