Default This Beautiful Planet

I just got home from visiting DS35 & his family in CO. We went for a couple of drives on the way to somewhere, and I couldn't believe the stark beauty of the mountains there. We'd drive on flat roads, turn a corner, and suddenly a mountain would appear...
Then we had an unexpected snowfall, and it was so beautiful as it fell and landed on the fir trees...I was transfixed (even though snow is not my friend).

One evening we were playing a card game. DS & DIL's living room has a window in their cathedral ceiling with an aspen tree outside of it. The full moon shone through the window and the branches with the fall color, and we all took a break from our game to stare at the beautiful sight.

Honestly, it was so wonderful to get out of my head (and all that's wrong with my body) to enjoy the beauty of our world. I made myself a promise to get out of the house, winter or summer, to enjoy all that has been provided for us in nature.

I agree Debbie..I'd love to survey my beautiful surroundings again.
I do pretty well from my windows, but it's not the same. However,
I have lived in this home for 35 yrs, half my life, and have stepped
on, worked on and appreciated every square inch of this land.

It's the reason, I don't move. My life was, is and will be here till the
end......and maybe after.. It's beautiful, it's paid and it's mine.

I never did like to travel, so I don't miss that much. I can google
that any time..

Your picture is so beautiful Debbie. One of my favorite times during the winter is after we have freezing rain. I'm sure the road crews and people who have to drive don't feel the same but I do't do either. But it just coats the trees, wires, lines, everything and it just glistens in the sunlight.

Thumbs up

DH and I live on the flat plains of Texas. Our GD came out here from to Dallas area. The first full moon she saw was amazing to her.
