Talking about in my morning coffee. I was using a level tablespoon of sugar in my one cup in the morning. Tried going without but......ick tooey. Coffee alone just doesn't taste that good to me. So I bought a rather expensive box of 100 packets. With as little as I'm using, is it really making any difference to my body?
My intent is slow weight loss, or no gain, so I'm limiting certain things. Is this tiny amount worth the expense?

Hi Sparky,
A tablespoon of sugar a day is probably not a problem, but you might try Xyla instead if you tend to use more. The body processes it differently (more slowly), so it doesn't raise blood sugar levels and leaves no after taste; as it is actually a type of sugar. I've used it for about a year in my tea with no problems, as my digestion is sensitive to most sugars, so can't use table sugar or fructose, syrups, honey etc. Warning: It is very toxic to pets...especially dogs. I use Stevia exclusively. Have to have my coffee and tea sweet and I've found this is the best product for me.
This is what I use: http://www.vitacost.com/kal-pure-stevia-extract-powder One container lasts me several months and I drink alot of coffee.

Dogs lack the ability to process it in the liver...just like they don't process substances in chocolate, garlic and onions

I use Natural sugar, Yum.... I use to put a lot of sugar in my coffee too, but over the years I have decreased it slowly to 1/2 teaspoon or less.. Try the natural sugar, to me it is sweeter, and it isn't refined. Very good on steelcut oatmeal too. ginnie

Darlene- I didn't know anything about Truvia so I started reading. I think you might find it very interesting and not what one might think it is:

Sing it with me now...... "Oh, a teaspoon of sugar makes the medicine
go down. the medicine go down...." Unless you are diabetic and must use a SS. why do it? Just cut down and enjoy the real thing.
