For one thing I can't see mature adults approving of kids taking control of an abanded town. I know that there has to be adults there but they are making it out to be kids only.

I'm not sure of that one myself. Just a bunch of kids arguing. I'm too old to listen to that anymore. The concept sounded interesting, but the commercials don't seem to follow that thought. May have to watch the first and see if I can sit through it.

Didn't any of these TV producers have English in high school?
Didn't they have to read Lord of the Flies?? Seems to me kid's in charge didn't turn out so good!!!

It doesn't matter... I'm still hooked on Wife Swap. However... I just found "How Clean Is Your House?" on BBC...I'm not usually a fan of British TV, but this is great!

I like feeling that my house isn't even close to the worst!!

Oh yea, Bethany
Nothing like that show to put our reality into perspective. Whoa, I think those ladies have an american version on tlc or something during the day.

I haven' watched that one but TLC had 'Clean sweep' and Style has Clean house'. Necie Nash (Sp?) is the host on Clean House and she is a bit irritating. But I do enjoy their shows. What I can't get is why they can't agree to give up their mess. They called the show to get some help but yet they don't want to get rid of the mess.

Another one of my reality shows ended tonight. The ventriloquist won on 'Americas got talent'. I would have preferred the young girl, Julienne, but he was my next choice. David Hasselhoff sang and I wouldn't have voted for him at all.

Today is the day that pirate Master puts a new episode online. Yeah, that's weird. For anyone that has been following, they were down to the final 4. So when the captain blackspots 2 of them, only one eprson can vote. So that one person can choose one of the pirates that have the black spot or mutiny the captain. So that person carries a lot of weight. During the challenge, Ben and Jay agreed that whoever was on the team with Louie would throw the challenge so Christa could win and stay Captain. So Louie was set to lose which ever way it went. Fast forward to the Pirates court. Ben has to get it off his shoulders. He tells Louie that he threw the challenge. Jay votes to eliminate Louie. So next week its Christa. Ben and Jay. But the preview show that the whole crew come back, all 13 eliminated pirates. It doesn't show what role they have. But the 3 left are on thier own next week, no crews.

We didn't watch any TV tonight. Our daughter had the boxed 7 season set of Star Trek Voyager and we watched the first and final episodes of that tonight. I don't know if it will ever be the same for me now since I know who got married, etc. But I went to the BB8 website and saw that Jen was evicted.

there was stuff on cnn about kid nation. i missed it. soemthing about expoiting kids. anyone see that?

article in ny times:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/22/us...rssnyt&emc=rss

part of the article

But after the production ended in mid-May, the parent of one child in the production complained to state officials that the children's treatment bordered on abuse. Four children received medical treatment for accidentally drinking bleach, one child was burned on her face with hot grease while cooking in an unsupervised kitchen, and most of the children were required to work 14 hours or longer per day. They received a payment of $5,000 for their participation.

but i agree...not a show i would watch. i have 2 at home. and neighbors down stairs have 4 under age 7.

On BB Jen did get voted out, 6-0, she got a penalty vote from big brother because she broke her slop requirement and ate real food. Before breaking the rule she packed to leave. Then she all took Evil D's cigs, all 4 cartons, broke them all and put bleach on them she said. We didn't see the bleach part. Jessica got HOH again.

Amber and Daniele won a trip out of the house at the last POV event. They both appeared on the new Power of 10 gameshow. That will air next week.

ABC National News on Thursday had a story about Kid Nation similar to CNN's, but didn't state that they got paid. They also said CBS still plans to air it and that they are casting for Kid Nation 2.

Thanks for the BB update, Beth. I missed all but a few minutes of it last night. It really is getting crazy in there....

Wow, thanks for the info about Kid nation. I know I'm a reality show freak but that takes it to far. FYI, the bios on Survivor China are up on its website. Some interesting characters, even a grave digger
