((((((Wiz)))))). Having MS and trying to live a "normal" life is like a state of
bewilderment and mass confusion.. One day you may be going along quite
nicely and the next day, wonder if you're even going to be able to get out of
bed..

Hoping that whatever the best thing for you to happen, happens soon and
you have a little peace of mind.

Kitty, congrats on a successful day and may you have many more of them..

Barb, those sinus infections are anything but fun. Please feel better soon.

Thinking of you all and wishing you well.

We all have to find our new normal and be proud of it.

Say some prayers for the poor DH, his wife (aka me), has spring cleaning fever!!!

Thankfully this spring the body is responding a bit better than last year. I have demolished every single fluffy dust bunny in the living room, scrubbed and buffed the windows to a high gloss shine, swept and vacuumed the floor before steaming it, oiling it and buffing it to its rightful wooden shine. Hurray for faux leather furniture which wiped up clean and pillowy soft with ease.

The bedroom has also been straightened out, carpet shampooed and steamed, the bed has been steam cleaned, fresh new linens laid out, closet organized and reset to 'summer wear'. Shoes are all sanitized and put neatly away. While the cat follows behind me tossing his shedding hair on every waxed, oiled, vacuumed, steamed, polished surface until you can't tell I did anything .

Going to attack the kitchen and dining room today, so wish the DH luck, he might lose some fingers or toes if he gets in my way too much. Please let there be enough sports on TV to keep him entertained, better still if they can keep both hubby and cat curled up on the couch all day long for me I might actually have a chance to admire my handy work before the male cat has several cloned 'kittens' in my kitchen.

Happy St. Patrick's Day a day late!

I am feeling a bit better although the steroids and antibiotics killed my tummy. I am still nauseated off and on. I went out last night with my sister, her hubbie, and niece for St. Patrick's Day. It was crazy. They told us there would be a 30 minute to two hour wait for a table. Luckily we found a bench to sit on while we were waiting and were able to enjoy the live music and people watching. It took about an hour and 15 minutes to get a table. I drank about 1/4 of a glass of beer and my face turned bright red and hot. I don't know if that was due to the steroids or not. But i switched to ice tea.

Now I am off to get my hair cut.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Everyone!

I've been lurking again. I had my grandson 3 days this week and it's hard to log in on those days. He sleeps a good portion of the time (5 hours, broken up, one day this week) but when he's sleeping I'm sleeping, or washing bottles, or working, or doing laundry, or....

It's warming up here and I don't like it. It was in the mid/upper 80s today. I broke down and put my a/c on the other day because my apartment was getting a little warm in the afternoons and stuffy as well. The allergens/pollens have been on the higher side and I couldn't keep my windows open due to that.

DD23 and the baby stayed with me last week as DD24 and her fiance both had colds and were miserable. DD23 didn't want the baby to get sick or herself and then get him sick. It was great to have them here but sad when they had to leave. I mean, don't get me wrong. I am definitely glad DD24 and her fiance are better. I will just missing having the company.

I met with a new neurologist and I actually liked him. He requested my records and MRIs from the old neurologist and is going to review everything and well be meeting up in a month or so. Based on the information he gets and his interpretation of everything, we'll decide on a medication as he said that MS is always progressing whether you take medications or not. He is much older. I don't know how old as he was my old neurologists professor in NY or something like that. Anyhow, he said they find that being on something really does help slow progression down and that they are finding that not all lesions show up as some are too small for our technology to "see." So, we'll see what happens with that and I may actually get undiagnosed at our next meeting too. Talk about being confused. He did say that the MacDonald Criteria has changed since I was diagnosed and people are getting undiagnosed. He also said that people were getting diagnosed and actually didn't have MS and took meds for MS.

I hope you all have a good night/day!

Undiagnosed? I don't know how I'd feel about that. Not that I LIKE having MS, but if they took away my diagnosis--then what's wrong with me?

You know how when you have a bowl of something good, like ice cream, and you get to the bottom of the bowl and you scrape it with the spoon to get every last speck, and it's really all gone but you still keep scraping and scraping as if you might have missed some? My brain is like that. I'll be working or thinking or enjoying something, and suddenly my ability to think will be all gone, but I keep scraping and scraping anyway, like there might be a teensy bit left and if I keep scraping I'll magically come up with it. And how's that working for me? Not so well, so far.

It was -7.5° this morning. If you think March is a spring month, you obviously don't live in northern Vermont. It's warming up now, though, and I'd like to find a comfy spot on the carpet in a sunbeam. Maybe the cat will share hers.

I lured my son over here last week with a corned beef dinner and biscuits. It was nice to have a visit. I didn't even do that mom thing this time: "By the way, since you're here, would you mind...."

Frozen pizza for lunch today. My original plan didn't pan out. A chunk of lasagna is thawing in the fridge for tomorrow. Maybe some popcorn this afternoon. I didn't know cats liked popcorn, but our girl does! I don't know if it's good for her or not, so I just give her a couple little pieces. She comes running when she hears me slide the toaster across the counter, because she knows that sound means either butter or cream cheese!

I was temporarily all excited that it's almost the first of April--then I remembered that multi-page list of projects in the folder marked "before Spring". I'm a problem solver, though. I'll just changed the label to "before Fall". Good thing they're the kind of labels you can peel off.

Hope everybody has a good day today--I've been reading your posts, chuckling at your funnies, and praying for your needs. It's just that I've been scraping the bottom of that bowl lately, know what I'm sayin'?

Trish, If a Doc tried to unDX me, I'd just laugh at his/her ignorance and keep on
keeping on.. Any Doc who has the intestinal fortitude to unDX your MS,
better have something other than, "it's all in you head" at the ready, or he
defies death..

Blessings, I just did that Ice cream bit last night. I, after finishing scraping,
took my index finger all around the bowl to lick it clean. Don't even have
to wash the bowl..

I'm good on this Tuesday (The Ides Of March?)

Best of Wishes Y'all!!!

Hi Everyone!

B2Y - It was in the upper 80s (I think) here. It's weird to think I'm sweating it out, closing blinds in the afternoon to block the heat of the sun, and have the a/c on while you're in the negative degrees looking for warm sunbeams. I'd like a happy medium, say 60s/70s. That would be nice. Popcorn and ice cream...hmmm...sounds like a party at your house.

Sally - One of the great things about having a dog (or cat) is they can scrape the dishes clean. I don't have either so it's up to me to eat everything on my plate.

Nothing exciting happening here. I worked this morning and that was the highlight of my day. I really need to work on getting a more exciting life.

I had my grandson yesterday but he slept most of the time I had him. He's still a good napper and sleeps 4 to 5 of the 7 or so hours I have him. He sleeps in 2 hour increments with a feeding in between. He's getting so big and eventually I will not be able to watch him as my arms get so weak sometimes that holding him will become more difficult. I definitely try to avoid walking around holding him. That's way to risky. DD23 brought over a port-a-crib and we have it in my living room. It's not too far from the couch so I can easily get him in there for naps and if I have to go to the bathroom, get a bottle, get something to eat, etc.

I have some artwork waiting for me but I'm too tired today to do anything with it. Maybe after I finish eating my lunch. I love painting but it can be so messy sometimes. If I'm feeling tired, I just don't want to deal with cleaning up the mess. Unfortunately, the mess has to be cleaned up or I have wasted both paint and paintbrushes. I've been doing more artwork with pens, markers, pencils, and Sharpies. The clean up is a breeze.

I hope you all have a great day!
